Interests: Horses, Movies, ATV, Fishing, Hunting, Scrapbooking, Beach, Dancing, Pool, and most of all My Family.

I am a simple country girl…affectionate, romantic, caring, honest, trusting, understanding, and supportive. I will stand by you through the good times and the bad. I’m tender hearted and easy to please. I try to look for the good in everyone and try to help others when possible. I can’t stand a thief or a liar. If you try hiding something from me you will lose my trust and the relationship will be over. Honesty is high on my list. I refuse to play head games. I have a way of listening and have a deep understanding of and ability to connect to others and I try to make everyone feel comfortable. I like hanging out with that special someone that I have yet to find, weather it be a weekend get away, a cozy night at home, or somewhere in between. *****I’m looking for someone who will give me the same in return. A true giver who still believes that when you give better-you get better, at least with someone who understands what that’s all about and how it draws two souls closer. I want a man with morals, character, romantic, caring and most of all, monogamous. I want a man who has gained the maturity to handle a serious relationship and desires me based on what’s on the inside, not the outside. That is where true beauty lies. I believe age, looks, money and other material things does not really matter in a relationship. I don’t feel age should be a barrier in a relationship because it’s what we share from our heart that matters. *****I long for someone who is like me. Yes, like me. My baggage (most if not all of it) has been left to the wayside. I am so ready for that man who comes into my life. So ready, wanting the man of my dreams, well, is becoming more of a need than a want. Being single is not all that its cracked up to be. There is a void, emptiness, a feeling of not being complete. I am ready for that special man to come along and make our lives complete. *****Going out is for the evening is great, but I also cherish the warmth of home, cozy nights with the love of my life…its all good with the right person. I’m not into head games. I know life is not always simple, but I try to keep it that way. The guy I’m holding out for has a great smile and someday will have a special one meant just for me (I can dream a little, right?). He already understands that real intimacy comes only with mutual trust. Let’s face it, true chemistry is not that easy to find. When combined with a mental and emotional bond, that’s even more rare. Too serious for you? Then we’re probably not a good match. But if you can relate, we have great starting place. Because for two people like that, the so-called "little things" that make life fun and meaningful tend to happen when you don’t even realize it. *****I hope to find a man for a friendship, which might lead to romance. Expect to find yourself with someone who wants to put as much as possible into making the relationship thrive I will be very loyal and will prove to be an ever-faithful friend and lover. I will always put you first making you feel special and showering you with love and affection. Kindness and fairness are very important to me. I might sometimes need to be reassured that you are there for me so it is important to keep good communication going. Sometimes I may appear serious or fussy I am just very aware of my wants...needs...desires. *****Huge Priorities: sincerity, affectionate ways (if you’re not a cuddlier once in awhile or don't like holding hands--this is probably a good place to stop), loyalty (that’s beyond trustworthy), romantic, caring, honest, trusting, understanding, supportive and a concern for mutual respect. Someone who knows the importance of being true friends takes a positive approach to life. I look forward to doing things together; I am comfortable in jeans or a pretty outfit for a night out. *****Are YOU the man of my dreams??? *****PS...I will say I am willing to relocate with the right person and distance does not really mean anything to me I hope you don’t mind the distance it all depend the simplicity...

Giving Up Wine

I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.

I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy wine with it instead of dinner?'

'No, I had to stop drinking years ago', the homeless woman told me.

'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked ..

'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.'

'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.

'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!'

'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'

The homeless Woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.'

I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine.'

I just know you're laughing!

Why God made Moms

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.

2. Mostly to clean the house.

3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?

1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.

2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.

3. God made my Mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?

1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.

2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you Your mother & not some other mom?

1. We're related.

2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's moms like me.

What kind of little girl was your mom?

1. My Mom has always been my Mom and none of that other stuff.

2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.

3. They say she used to be nice.

What did Mom need to know about dad before she married him?

1. His last name.

2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?

3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

Why did your Mom marry your dad?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my Mom eats a lot.

2. She got too old to do anything else with him.

3. My grandma says that Mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?

1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.

2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.

3. I guess Mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.

What's the difference between Moms & dads?

1. Moms work at work and work at home & dads just go to work at work.

2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.

3. Dads are taller & stronger, but Moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friend's.

4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your Mom do in her spare time?

1. Mothers don't do spare time.

2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your Mom perfect?

1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.

2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mom, what would it be?

1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.

2. I'd make my Mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.

3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

"If tears could build a stairway,
and memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
to bring you home again."

Wow! What a magnificient visual! :bigsmile

tear drops stop
caught and formed
unfrozen
to sustain purity
when running up
above
on top
of the water
Like someone who
teaches us how to walk
we love
our parents
who created us
and raised us
we rise
above
and always want to
touch in appreciation
what we cannot always hold
we still hold
in our hearts
with love
uncharted
beheld
above

Very nice rebel. I hope you don't mind my contribution. flowerforyou

"My Mother's Eyes"

I've gone through life never giving
much thought to how I was created.
"You do not look like your parents",
was a quote too many times stated.

Yet I arose this morning and began
my day staring into my looking glass,
and that old familiar feeling of recognition
stared back, but this time it did not pass.

I bent even closer as tears ran down,
there was no one to hear my cries,
for there in my mirror gazing back at me,
were my mother's eyes.

The same warm hue, that cried for me
whenever I was in pain,
has been given to me, by God, a gift, forever
to remain.

For when sweet Jesus calls her home,
and her soul to heaven will rise,
She will leave one thing bound to this earth.

For I have my mother's eyes

A Woman With Alzheimer's

She sits alone in her little room, stares out the window, and watches the
world outside.

She used to be a part of that busy little universe, but that seems like
another lifetime ago.
In that other lifetime, she used to be "Queen of the scene", but now she is
just another number.
Her hopes and dreams were to change the world and to make a better place of
it. Now she watches the world, detatched from it, afraid of the dangers
around every corner.
She just can't seem to think of her name right now, or which shoe goes on
which foot, but that's ok, the girls in white will be coming around soon to
remind her.
Perhaps I will make the one with the curly hair my daughter again
today....She likes the one with the curly hair, because she always puts her
hair in pretty ribbons like she wore when she was young and beautiful.
Perhaps the one with the curly hair will dress me in my favorite red dress,
so that I can be "Queen of the Scene" once again.

Thank you Laura for this lovely poem!
