Probably isn't one great one. There are so many ideas by so many great thinkers who all base their work off of the greats who came before them that its too grand of a question to answer I'd say God is the greatest cause we're sill, after thousands of years of philosophizing and discovering scientific ideas, trying to unravel his universe and even understand who he is and what he wants.
