I was in a tragic car accident when I was 7. Waking up in ICU was bad enough, but not the most horrible thing of the event. I was in the hospital for 3 months. I wasn't allowed to see my reflection the entire time. I was, however, able to finally see my reflection the day I was released from the hospital. The shock of seeing my face was the worst day of my life. I have never cried so much or so hard in all my life. It's hard enough to wake up in the hospital, not knowing what happened or why you are there, but to see that your face is different and will never be the same was more than I could handle. Baby girl... your face looks beautiful!  Dont you worry. I'm ok now. It took me awhile to get over it. I soon adopted the thought that "if they don't like the way I look, they don't need to look." Through a traumatic experience, a person gets stronger. I've learned a lot from all of this. |

I don't mind my name. It's a lot better than the one I was suppose to have. I think my parents were drunk when they were picking names. I was suppose to have 2 first names and a middle name. Good thing dad's head was on straight when it was time to put my name on the birth certificate.
