I hate people that are rude when you email them.......I emailed this guy to tell him he had a nice picture and he e mailed me back and said that I was out of his league

So not the most tactful way to go about telling someone no.
But better to know that upfront than him playing games with you to find out later that he was never physically going to be interested in you.  There are lots of nice people around here, don't let the few bad apples ruin the whole bunch for you!!! |

Perhaps (if you choose to reply)---you could respond with something like how you were only e-mailing as a courtesy, so as not to be rude, as you CERTAINLY didn't no care for his type.......

Sounds more like he was complimenting you suggesting that you are in a "league" higher than him which is how the phrase in most often taken.

Maybe the message he replied to you with meant that he thought that you were to good for him.As in out of his league but above him and you just took it wrong
