I have to create a music video using Windows Movie Maker. I have to chose a song and insert pictures that relate to the song. I was going to do the song Concrete Angel by Martina McBride, and do the pictures on prevention on child abuse, but it was to heart wrenching to look for pictures.
This still leaves me with a video idea. I want one that puts out a message or gets a point across. Any idea? |

Did you want to use the same song? And did you just want a new idea? Because I would say you could get the abuse idea across with animals although that is heart wrenching also.... Maybe you could just show pictures of kids that look sad or something..?? Hope this helps some!

How about "Have you forgotten" by Darryl Worley? That would be a "tribute" to our military!!

I'll bet "The Boxer" would make a good one. It's a song from the 60's. Simon and Garfunkle "Bridge over troubled waters" It's a strong life story.
(I use it as my theme song) |

Lightning Crashes by the band Live is a good song too...very powerful lyrics about a mother dying in childbirth....
You could also do the Freshman by the Verve ....it is kind of sad too though... |

This is one that not many people have heard of, but the song Sky by Ra is a pretty good one for putting together with visuals.

Images of concrete sculptures ... angels, children, families ... people .... monochromatic or shades of grey (these kids are not living in technicolour worlds) overlay text ... stats, children's names ... injury sustained ...in extreme cases dates of birth & death ... sounds a bit morbid typing it out but I can see a powerful film in my head ... can juxtapose ... full colour picks of happy families ... children's playgrounds ... brief snippets of what is missing ... juxtaposition of imagery ... and colour ... textures etc... can stress the disparity between what is and what could be ... ooh I am inspired to go make something ... Let us know what you end up doing... |
