Someone who I was very close to was a known child molester. He
preyed on young vulnerable girls around 10 to 14 years of age.
He had been in trouble with the law for this, but was never really made
accountable for a lifetime of perverted damaging behavior. Other than
this, he was kind, generous, thoughtful,
hardworking and was loved by family and friends. He was not religious
and had little perception of spirituality. He had no
real interest in anything about Heaven or Hell until he came
closer to his death.
I am very interested in what people think about ,what may or may not
have happened to his spirit after his body died. Think
of this, if you can, as if the person were someone that you loved and
cared about. I would also be very interested in finding out different
religious views on this. Particularly
the Mormon religion or any other. Thanks!

i think they should have to see it over and over, pics of
molested/abused children- burn the memory into their minds so they can
never forget the evils they have committed, no one should touch a child-
their innocence and beauty is everything missing from this world

This is from my believes. If he asked god forgiveness before he died he
could be in heaven. If he never offered a sinners prayer so to speak he
is in Hell.

They all need to die according to me. If the goverment thinks jailing
them works, they are nuts it just makes them smarter. The only other
possible solution to me is castration of child molesters. This causes
you to loose your sex drive and there fore you will not be looking for
sex with children. But even then a few will continue their ways.

I think one of the worst things in the world is a child molester. I
don't think they can ever change no matter if they go to jail or not. Do
I believe they should go to heaven---thats a tough one. It says that if
you ask for forgiveness, that God does forgive those who sin...but if
you want my opinion...I think they should go straight to Hell!!

I'm sorry... in some cases, there are no OTHER THAN THATS. I would hope
that this person will receive his just dessert although I don't feel
that there's a hell bad enough for him.

As a "recovering Catholic" (LOL), we were taught that if we admitted our
sins (confession), asked for forgiveness and then atoned for them
(pennance), that we would be forgiven and welcomed into the Kingdom of
Heaven.

Because of some of the choices I've made in my life, I can only hope
that's true! (Don't ask, because I'm NOT telling).

If you go by what I was taught, yes, he went to Hell. No, I don't have
a preconceived notion of what 'Hell' is.

included. That is why I added to try and look at this as if the person
were someone you cared about.

You claim he is a kind person. Well, I think they are some what like
that to manipulate young people like kids into situations for their
pleasures. So I wouldn't be so quick to see him as kind. But rather
manipulating. As far as hell is concerned I don't really believe in a
hell. So that be said I think he should if there really is one.

Well, not to be too judgemental, but child molesters should be given an
express ticket to hell, a 357 between the eyes.

I tried not to answer with anger..but its really hard not to get angry
with this question esp when children are concerned. I guess if you sit
here and think about what that child has to live with for the rest of
their lives, then nothing good can come out of that. Most that has been
molested usually can never forget, so put your thoughts with the
children...then tell us how kind he was!
I would say he really wasn't that religious or he wouldn't have done
that. I am the kind of person that says, what ever they do with
children, maybe we should do to them but 100 times worse! When you mess
with children, I just think thats unforgiveable..they are the innocent

as a mother of children I think that child molesters need to go to hell,
I just found out my own uncle is one. I tell my mom I will not go to any
event if hes there but if I do go he better not even glance at my
children, or if he does I dont care if hes family I will let him know
whats up.

i don't think that there is any excuse for molesting a child but her
comment just goes to show you that sometimes the people that do these
deeds seem to be perfectly well rounded people. don't the neighbors
always say, "my, he seemed to be such a kind and gentle person and i
lived next door to him for 15 years." and then they find 30 bodies
