stress at work, etc..but nothing out of the ordinary...would I be smart to let this go? or dump him because of this?

I've heard much worse. A smart person acknowledges the past as a potential for the future, but more importantly is to know what kind of person they are today. Respecting honesty is also a good thing and a sign of a person of good character.

Besides, it happened when he was 19, and he's 53. If you can't forgive that sort of thing, imagine all the minor infractions in a relationship you'll get to experience. I myself wouldn't want to be with someone that unforgiving, as it's asking for trouble along the way, where I find myself becoming more and more resentful, ultimately bailing on the whole thing. Oh wait, I did just that in recent years, twice.

I have recently met a new guy...he's great, construction job, good personality, we get along great, except one thing. He confided to me that when he was 19 he was involved in a robbery with some neighborhood thugs..he told me it was not his idea that he was a follower back then..and that he was just sorta there in the car when "they" pulled it off..he said the cops came to him to question him at the time and he ratted them out, basically only the one guy went to jail, and the rest that were involved did not get any time. He had his record expunged for helping the police.. it was a "couple" corner mom and pop stores in his area he said and there was a gun involved...the guy who's idea it was is the one who went to jail..he was basically a criminal and the rest of them were stupid followers if you know what I mean...this guy is my age now...no other problems since that time..and he treats me great...i can see he has no criminal in him, basically your 53 y.o. guy with the everyday things we deal with, stress at work, etc..but nothing out of the ordinary...would I be smart to let this go? or dump him because of this?
Sounds like youre looking for any reason to dump this guy. Would you like to be judged for something you did almost 40 years ago??? Are you the same person that you were when you were 19????noway

when i was 16yrs old my first bf was 18 and before we had gotten together he got in trouble with burgerly with a ex gf brother. and he went to jail shortly after we got together and he was only in there for a few months. its been 28yrs and he has not gotten in trouble sense. let go of the past, you can see he has changed his ways.

Leave the country now, get all your belongings and don't look back. i'll send my address via email!.

i think its been mentioned up above that it was a long time ago, and that he didn't have to share this with you. but then again if its a serious relationship and your hoping for it to evolve hes going about it the right way.

but on the other hand if you have your doubts, follow that extremely good looking ladies advice called solestria.
