Hey girl so glad to see you back. I would be very indifferenet and would want to know why he thought that in the first place. If it happened once and I knew I was innocent I would forgive and explain to him how I don't cheat for any reason and I hope this subject doesn't come back up again.

If this was something that kept cropping up well we wouldn't be a couple anymore .

I'm assuming in this hypothetical scenario I am not cheating and have never cheated. Yes, I would be offended if he accused me of cheating. I would even be offended if he just suspected it. If he thought I was acting distant/stranger than usual, I would hope he would first ask me if something if bothering me and if something is going on to make me act so strangely.

But that's just me. I've never cheated on anyone and if I wasn't into my boyfriend anymore I would try to work it out or end the relationship, not sneak around behind his back.

If she "accuses" me of cheating, then I probably messed up. Maybe I did not KNOW that I messed up, but I would assume that I did.

How would I feel? See the heel of my shoes? Like that.

Hmmm...It would certainly depend on (1) whether or not I gave them any reason to believe so, and (2) the nature of that person.

Certain situations, even truly innocent ones, can seem otherwise. If that's the case, clear communication seems to be the remedy. Also, certain people by nature have stronger tendencies toward jealousy than others. If that's the case, I just try to understand their position and work a bit harder to help them feel secure.

I guess if you gave them no reason, and aren't interested with their personal level of jealousy, you already have your answer.

I think if they are saying that I cheated than I would think back. What have they been up to?
I have learned than when something like that is said. They are the one that is cheating. UGGHHHHH

If it was untrue, I think I would just remain indifferent and discuss why they think I would be. Sometimes a little misunderstanding leads people in the wrong direction in their own minds.

My ex-boyfriend and his kids were over one time and his daughter said something about "well I couldn't play that game with you last night because you were on the phone with Heather all night". I jokingly said "that must have been one of this other girlfriends because we were not on the phone all night". (I joked although it did make me pause a bit, wondering why she thought it was me......did he tell her that or she just assumed?) The sad part was that he never really cleared it up. He just sort of denied it and changed the subject. Later, I wished that he would have at least given an explanation of who he really was talking to, although I did not press the matter because it would have been rather nosy of me. Things like that lead to questions. It was something that probably could have been cleared up with one quick explanation.

Yeah, but once you have a steady signifacant other, then you might start to want a honey on the side... and that's how it goes...

I would be a lil offended that they didnt know me better, but i would hear them out to find out why they thought it.

If it happened regularly...i would be worried about THEIR infidelity.

I was accused to the point of my computer and telephone (both cell and work) being hacked on a regular basis and messages listened to and read.

It was quite ironic when I found the box of opened condoms in his jacket pocket, none of which had been used on me!

I found that a person believes what they want to believe, regardless of what you tell them and/or what is true.

So I will refuse to defend myself if that is what they believe of me and just let them go on thinking I'm a cheat as I continue on with my life.

that is grounds for dismissal. if i've known a girl long enough for her to be my SO, then she would know that it would completely go against my character and beliefs to cheat. accusing me of such a thing is a direct assault against my character and i will not tolerate that.
