So, my question is; if we knew all the time where Bin Laden was...this during and after 9/11. What was the Bush admin and Bush thinking? What was Bushes objective in keeping him alive?

You were against the Iraq war. What about Afghanistan? You would have supported an invasion into Pakistan to kill Bin Laden?

If bin laden was indeed the "one". Then yes..I would support tracking him down and elimenating him. Iraq didn't do anything to us.
However..I am glad that they are now doing so much better. Must have been a better way. We lost so many for a war that was a lie. Kat I don't believe in killing ANY innocents. Take it to the desert (not in the towns) and flush out the war mongers. |

Supposedly, bein's we're always fed the BS the Feds want us to hear, Bin Laden is functional as a leader, he has a lot of bargaining power. He is privy to it all and if the CIA needs him alive, he won't be made dead.
If I'm correct, the CIA did train him. Remember Castro? He was an easy target. He had a bounty on him for a while and the CIA did nada. He lived to a ripe old age. |

I knew Bush didn't know how to get Bin Laden when he didn't trot him out just prior to the 2004 election. That was a very close election and Bush would have done anything to win. Capturing or killing Bin Laden would have sealed it for him. Unfortunately for us, he won anyway. I view this as a black mark on the American electorate.
