It happens. I hate when someone IMs you and then they don't have anything to say. If you are going to IM someone or even talk on the phone be prepared to talk about something. My favorite is when you get an IM and it starts out with Hi! How are you? and of course you reply, but then the person who started the conversation asks so what do you wanna talk about? That's when I tell them that they IMed me and should be able to come up with something to talk about. More often than not, they disappear.

You were dull and that was not was she needed at the time.i usually ask what the person was up to before i decide how to relate,its obvious there was no focus or reason to hold in that conversation you need not have refered to her pain funny enough you can get stuck with whoever in conversation without necessarily going thru profiles I thought of that...trying to figure out what exactly she wants to talk about, but then she need to give me a hint..... ladies..it is very important to give a hint, if you got a topic on mind, that is something the guy will not headjump into right away. On the other hand...when I get 1-2 word replies and long pauses, I kinda know she is talking to at least one more person, possibly 3-4 at the time.. |

You're trying to hard.
Rule #1: Match her speed and care level. Rule #2: It's not your job to make the conversation last, she is the one that messaged you. It is the person that initiated the conversation who is responsible for keeping the conversation going and also responsible for killing the conversation if it is clear the other person isn't into it. |

Conversation is a two-way street. I don't think you are to blame or that she is to blame.
The two of you were probably no compatible enough to engage in conversation. She needs to stick with the dolts that say, "You're hot wanna chat?"  And you need to stick with the intelligent girls that will not only answer your questions but are inspired by you to exapnd on other topics.  You gave waaaay more effort than I would have given. I have zero patience for one-dimensional people.

I have my IM on this site turned off for the same reasons and for others starting out Hi I'm horney or hey I like to eat pu$$y I'm thinking to myself ok and your point is?

In all honesty, if you have to keep a conversation going..just click the X! If she started talking to you and only answered with short answers like that, I would say she is rather boring. I don't think you did anything wrong, I just think she had to many people she was trying to talk to!!
I actually shut my messenger off today. I believe if anyone really wants to talk to me, send me an email...if not, it just wasn't meant to be!! Don't get discouraged, I am sure that there are a lot of girls out there that would love to talk to you! Good Luck
