Ok well for a while now I have been fighting back this depression, but I can't anymore. It feels like no one really cares anymore (besides Randy) like I could scream an no one would even look up. I miss my friends am family back home, I miss the comforts of being "home" with my parents. I don't know what to do to fight this anymore, anyone have any ideas that might help? thanks

I know how your feeling after my illness I had to move. I lost my home, and my brother invited me to live with him. Sadly he lives in a park where you must be at least 40 to reside in. My daughter moved down and is 10 minutes away, my son is back in PA. Both of them had no choice but to learn to live on their own at the ages of 18 and 20.
These are some things that are helping us all to adjust. I hope they will help you.
Phone calls to friends and family, text messages, see if you can make plans for a get together, get out and do things. Volunteer, join a club, do what you have to and create new friendships and memories.

Keep your brain occupied. If you're not in school, pick a topic that interests you and research it. If you don't have work to pass the time then volunteer. You'd be amazed at how uplifting helping others can be.

Depression is a progressive disease. At some point yr gonna' have to realize that you can't deal with it on yr own. There's no shame in admitting defeat.flowerforyou

Don't b afraid. That's what they are there for. As for money a hospital social worker can help. I know my daughter has bipolar. I've lived it with her

Hi sweetie, I know where you are coming from. Try to find a job, even if a part time one. Getting out and meeting new people (co workers, clients, etc.) will help you. Learn something new. Check out the library, you may find something that strikes your fancy and you will be off to a new adventure (in your heart, your mind and in your soul). Best of luck, my deer. Love Mea

I want to share with you a line from my page, I too have been feeling the same way and Id like to offer you some words of encouragement..

Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges.

Some of these challenges will test our courage, strengths, weaknesses, and faith. Along the way, we may stumble upon obstacles that will come between the paths that we are destined to take. In order to follow the right path, we must overcome these obstacles. Sometimes these obstacles are really blessings in disguise, only we don't realize that at the time.

Along our journey we will be confronted with many situations, some will be filled with joy, and some will be filled with heartache. How we react to what we are faced with determines what kind of outcome the rest of our journey through life will be like.

When things don't always go our way, we have two choices in dealing with the situations. We can focus on the fact that things didn't go how we had hoped they would and let life pass us by, or two, we can make the best out of the situation and know that these are only temporary setbacks and find the lessons that are to be learned.

Time stops for no one, and if we allow ourselves to focus on the negative we might miss out on some really amazing things that life has to offer. We can't go back to the past, we can only take the lessons that we have learned and the experiences that we have gained from it and move on. It is because of the heartaches, as well as the hardships, that in the end help to make us a stronger person.

The people that we meet on our journey, are people that we are destined to meet. Everybody comes into our lives for some reason or another and we don't always know their purpose until it is too late. They all play some kind of role. Some may stay for a lifetime; others may only stay for a short while.

It is often the people who stay for only a short time that end up making a lasting impression not only in our lives, but in our hearts as well. Although we may not realize it at the time, they will make a difference and change our lives in a way we never could imagine. To think that one person can have such a profound affect on your life forever is truly a blessing. It is because of these encounters that we learn some of life's best lessons and sometimes we even learn a little bit about ourselves

Im not scared its just the kept me so drugged up I didn't even remember who I was. I know not all hosp are the same but I don't wanna take the risk. I have told Randy I am getting depressed again an he seems to think that all I need is a job an I will be ok. I think its bout time I do tell him about my prob, don't want to but I have to. So he can watch for signs I may not see.

If you can't find a job soon, think of volunteering somewhere even part time.

Moving from home is a huge transition. Some people never completely get over it. Some people look forward to it all their lives and do just great.
There's nothing wrong with missing your friends and family. I guess you need to decide what it is you want? Why are you depressed? Is it because you're away from home? Or is it something else?
