People tend to think I'M a "prude" (which I deny, of course) and I had no issues with nursing publicly AT ALL...with discretion, of course! Flaunting your breasts and/or nursing a kid who's old enough to drink from a cup aren't my thing, but honestly... they ARE for something besides filling out a sweater. (That's just a little side benefit for someone special! LOL!) That's what my sis in law did. I mean come on! He had TEETH by then! My child had their first tooth at 4 mths. old. I wasn't going to quit because of that.

it's simple. everyone eats when they are hungry, why shouldn't a baby too? people need to get passed the fact that it's a boob and realize that the baby is simply eating. breast milk is the best thing for a baby, it has everything the baby needs to be healthy

This is somewhat related, but why is it that the freest country on Earth has the most backwards thinking when it comes to breast feeding and sex in general?

it's simple. everyone eats when they are hungry, why shouldn't a baby too? people need to get passed the fact that it's a boob and realize that the baby is simply eating. breast milk is the best thing for a baby, it has everything the baby needs to be healthy I don't think anyone has said they disagree with breastfeeding.

A woman breast feeding her baby the most beautiful thing in the world. I agree!!! A million percent. The setting is important, too. For instance, by a christal clear mountain lake with a waterfall, or on a warming, green meadow in the morning haze in the early summer with horses grazing, or in a Dairy Queen Ice Cream restaurant.

Okay...so you see two teenagers heavily making out..or adults Tell me you don't think geez get a room already or something like that. I did actually think my next door neighbor's 16 yr old daughter was just going throw down in her driveway with one boy once. But then...it is the freest country.

It's a private subject for me. lol My child was walking at 10 months old. I didn't quit then either. But..by then my child was eating some real food. Nursing was then for naps and bedtime.

Seems just the covering up thing is more the concern I guess.

There have been threads on the topic of real or fake boobs, and some have posted boobs as their favorite part of a woman's body. As we all know breasts are part of our bodies to feed our babies first...second for fun. I nursed all 3 of my sons as discreetly as I could..a blanket over me. Some still are bothered by women doing this in public. Your opinions.. boobs are still good even with a baby attached to them

This nephew was a bit over 3 yrs old. Okay...you won. That's getting too old. I've known women that have done it that long too.

I was a bottle baby so its just one of those bodily functions I'd rather not watch a stranger do but then I don't go "BOOOOBIEEEEEEEEEES!" like some guys either if she is doin it around me I'll prolly just avert my eyes and be a little bit uncomfortable. But I wouldnt expect her to stop on my account

I do it in public with a cover. If anyone has a problem with it, I usually just laugh in their face and say it's not against the law for me to breastfeed in public. Plus, it's not like I have everything just hanging out there for all to see!
