How many times can a person fall in love, how does one fall out of love, is love a feeling shared between 2 people, or is love something that manifest over a period of time, how many of us mistake being in lust or infatuation as love.

Then there are various types of love, such as for a family member or a close friend. I have only felt real love once in my life, that was with my former fiance and it has never once occurred a second time.

If here is someone you were meant to be with, what does it mean when you miss your opportunity to be with that person.

Over the years since our breakup I known some wonderful woman, some I even had long term relationships with, but the intense feelings I shared with my finance I have never experienced with another woman.

At the close of our relationship my fiance said she still loved me and always would care for me, but she was no longer in love with me, for a long period of time we had remained close friends until we just sort of drifted apart it has been 8 yrs since I have seen her but time to time I will still think about our time together but it no longer makes me sad as I always think of the best parts of our relaionship which make me smile a little.

Too many questions to answer so I'll just give you my take on love.

Love is infinate. If you live with an open heart you can love. You can feel it, live it, nurture it or destroy it. Each person has the capacity for it all. If they are open to it.

Miko, as time passess so does our memory. We tend to only focus on the good. The relationship ended for a reason. It's time to move on.

lighten up dude...i was kidding, i don't care enough about love to actually think about whether it exists or not, but yeah, good going; you should put that in a greeting card or something.

everybody is capable of loving somebody else but it is a matter of opening themselves to do it again

if you are still thinking in the past or always comparing to somebody you dated years ago and almost married then you will probably die alone or just marry somebody and having a rough marriage

step back and be happy of where you are today and know that there is still somebody out there that wants to beable to be given a chance and wants your time

just go out there and make it happen dont wait for somebody to come to you

i don't necessarily believe that love lasts forever and i also don't believe that we are meant to only love one person for all entirety nor that an ended love relationship indicates a failure.

i believe that people come into our lives for specific purposes, at such points of great need and/or when we are ready to receive them.

i take my own relationship day by day and, although there is of course some planning involved, i really don't know where we'll be at this time next year, next month, or even next week. i just know that for today i am in love with him (and he with me) and that i don't anticipate tomorrow being any different than today.

one you begin to place demands and expectations on the relationship, it starts to become one of soley duty and obligation and takes away from the spontaneity and joy.

it isn't that difficult to wipe the slate clean and begin again if you take responsibility for your own role in the way your past relationships ended and work on improving yourself, instead of placing the entire blame on the other person. we all have at least some role to play when a relationship ends. would you want your girlfriend to judge and treat you based on her past experiences? while at the same time, you can keep one eye open for any indications that you're headed down the previous paths, give her the benefit of the doubt.

"True love that lasts forever"
I wonder where this concept comes from?
Perhaps a its just a deep desire to hang on to the good things you've found in life.
I think its really rare.
If the average life span was 40-50 yrs, maybe, but then the odds are still fairly high that one of you won't even live that long.

everything she said

and I would add, don't overthink everything. don't agonize and analyze over every detail. just feel and react to the moment
