One night you could read and the next night your partner read to you. Alternatively, you can each take 15 minute turns. Either way each night you'll be sure to welcome the resonance of your partner's voice as you cuddle together.

I know a couple that used to do this and I thought it was a neat idea. They don't anymore.... in fact they don't do many of the things that they used to do to stay connected.
Anything you do that you both enjoy and that keeps you connected is a good thing. |

Its fun, and also playing role playing video games together, one person plays, and the other mans the big fat game book.
And.. Praying together is nice too.

I like to hear them read something that interests them, then I can hear the emotion they are feeling as they read.

I'd prefer a conversation or sex.. but I see how people could like the idea. I'm a fast reader and I prefer to read by myself. I love to read to my son though.... I just doubt I'd receive it well from another. I often think others talk too slowly as it is.

I can see where this would be a good thing...my 18 year old son still likes me to read to him, I guess my voice is still soothing to him, helps him sleep.

No offense to anyone but unless my partner is a great orator I would rather read myself.
I'm an awfull orator when I'm reading so it is hard for me to communicate the emotions I am reading to my partner. Thats me |

Couples hoping to gain a little more sensual intimacy, stories with erotic subject matter may be your best bet. I think, it works....really

Thats such a romantic idea. It reminds me when your parents whould read to you before you wnet to sleep. I miss that.

No way that's too damn boring. I would rather watch a violent cop/killer show or something and chase each other around the house or play spin the bottle.

Sounds too much like story time in preschool; no thanks, I don't need anyone to read to me, I can do it myself.

When I first married my husband, we were given this book from the Preacher at our church about building a strong relationship and tips on working through problems every new couple faces. He and I would lie in bed at night and take turns reading. It was very romantic and I loved to hear the sound of his voice - just wished we had learned something

In my last relationship, we would lie in bed and I would read children's books using my best Patrick Steward voice. It was entertaining.
You should hear me sing using that voice

Hahahahah!!!!!!!!!...He hears my voice talk talk talk talk talk talk talking all day, and half the night...I can just see how much he would LOVE me to talk some more when we go to bed....
