Hello to all,

Wanted to drop in and introduce myself.

I am new to the site, new to my area, and really bad at meeting men. :)

So, although we hardly know each other, I am asking for advice, from men and women alike, as to the best way to be attractive to and attract the opposite sex.

I must mention that I also have the "best friend" curse attached to me. Guys just love making me their best-buddy. Don't misunderstand, I love having friends, but I would like to be a girlfriend somewhere in the mix too! lol!

Well, I do not think it is the appearence that makes the guys just want to be buds! So it must be the type person you are, personality, traits, etc. Nothing wrong there. And just maybe one og those friends may turn one day, after a day of skinny-dipping, and ask if you could be interested in more! Meantime, have fun, lots of crazy people in the forums. Just ask them!!!

It's the cuddly vs sexy issue. Or so I think. Then I was skinnier, I had an hour glass figure. I'm also short. Somehow, that came off as cuddly to most of the guys while my flat chested, athletically build sister managed to come off as sexy. Everyone wanted to be friends with me and date my sister. Until they realized she was only in 8th grade and that totally freaked them out until she hit the high school the following year.

But as the years went by, the pattern stayed pretty much the same. Unless you are tall and willowy as well, curvy girls run the risk of being cuddly and therefore friend material.

From a guy's perspective I automatically assume the more 'athletic looking' girl is more athletic and someone that I could see going on hikes and doing athletic stuff with. That is not always the case..my ex-wife looked very athletic but could hardly walk 30 feet without being winded...but that is just what I see...when I see a curvier girl(unless I see them playing a sport, or in an athletic environment) I automatically assume they wouldn't be into the more athletic stuff.

Good point! I power walk three to five miles a night, five nights a week. You wouldn't tell it to look at me! ;) I have always been "curvy". No amount of exercise has ever changed that!
