For me, my headline says it all... "Why not?". I have no trouble dating
outside of the internet, but havn't found anything that stuck... so I
figured why not give this new fad a try.

Well, I joined in the hopes of maybe meeting someone......But now I only
stay because my friends are here. I found the true love of my life, but
I don't plan on leaving because there are a lot of folks I would miss
terribly..........

I joined this site to find penpals as I am semi-homebound d/t my
disability and enjoy meeting and writing to new people. It worked, too,
as I have found some really great penpals on this site. :)

Initially because I was bored...Then just to make friends..I enjoy
meeting people!!!!!!!

This specific site was becasue alot of my friends are here

Peace my intentions are not to hook up with anyone not only because
everyone is many states away but also because I tend to find more
friends here.

If the person is so far away, the chances of us meeting is slim. The
other thing to think about also is the whole trust issue.

Will you feel safe meeting this user in person? Are they who they say
they are? How old is there pic?

to meet new people.. so later in life when I vaction from mexico.. (my
retirement) that I will be able to travel all over the states and hang
out.. have a good time..

The was my first reason lol. Everything is FREE man. IMs, emails,a good
amount of photos, free to post. Then if you post 3 emails under the
"invite" tab you can get smileys lol

My 1st therapist suggested it, to keep me "in contact" with people. It
was Dr's Advice.

oh yeh and umm you can see who checks your profile by typing 3 emails to
invite.

When I joined I found a whole group of wonderful people and made
fantatic friends.

I still hold out that hope I might meet that one special person...one
never knows.

Hmm, not quite sure how I feel about meeting someone off the internet.
I have to say I'm skeptical, but I'm also a big risk taker. I think if
I found the person interesting enough in chatting for a bit, I might
consider meeting. I've met with a couple people through myspace.
Although we didn't really hit it off, nothing creepy happened, and I
made a couple new friends. As far as traveling a long distance to meet
someone I talked to online, I probably wouldn't unless I had planned to
go to that area anyway. Being in the military and somewhat of a thrill
seeker, I do tend to travel a bit.

Well there is always the possibility of going from internet, to phone,
to web cam...Until you decide to meet...I talk to some of my friends
here, on the cam.........It's awesome. You can see each other face to
face and you know it's that same person you met on here.

lol the chances of me meeting someone offline is SLIM.

I gotta talk to that person for SEVERAL months. I'm too lazy for it too

My friend hooked me up. He in turn met a lady on JSH and he travel
across the country and is with her now.

Bored, you wouldn't even meet me???

I like talking to people across the country. I have not reached the
stage to carry it any further
