Today I was picking pinecones at a local park and security told me I couldn't take them because the Tribal Members might see and I could get in trouble.

If the park is on tribal land..yep, that's how it is. I doubt if the Natives would care if they were there and you asked...

my parents almost got arrested when i was a little kid because i had tried taking some pine cones off of a national park...of course no 5 year old understands that. i was just like "dude, these pinecones are as big as i am!"

You can't take those REALLY big pretty ones from Sequoia National Forest either. I think it's part of preserve land.

Hummmm well guess I must confess I'm a thief as well while we were on the cruise we docked in Jamaica and well while my daughter and I was on the beach we searched for shells ect found some pretty kewl ones as well. Yeppiers you guessed it I brought some shells back from Jamaica even though it was mentioned that your not suppose to do that

My dad used the same logic on me when we lived in California and we wanted to pick the California wild poppy. If you take one then everyone will wanna take one, and then there will be no more California wild poppies. Boo-hoo. They didn't say that about cannabis, and there's still plenty to go around. |

I confess! Me too. I went to Hawaii. They have a law there prohibiting people from taking anything from the land, especially chunks of lava. I took TWO!!!!!
Is the Big Island still there? If not, it's all my fault. |
