I well remember that she said, at the time, that she hadn't slept for a couple of days due to her breakup w/ her first child/son's father, John Reynolds ... ... As they'd just broken up and she and he were, both, absolutely devastated ... He was also her music producer at the time, and had been for some time by then, so it was also a very real biz pressure mess for both ... In addition to the personal crisis ... MUCH later, she started sayin' it made her cry as she was reflectin' upon her relationship w/ her deceased mother, whom she claimed had abused her ... I so love her ... AND, still ... She is well known for changin' stories to suit ... But, wanted to clarify only to make sure all know she never lost a son to death ...
