Yes much better.Now I have an awful cough.I hate that!!! I am glad you are here Mary.I have a question for you. Have you ever kept reg.Mashed potatoes warm in a crock pot? I am having a pot luck dinner on Sat.And wonder if I make them ahead if they will stay nice in the crock pot. I don't like those heavy make ahead ones with cream cheese and sour cream. |

I am having a pot luck dinner on Sat.And wonder if I make them ahead if they will stay nice in the crock pot. I don't like those heavy make ahead ones with cream cheese and sour cream. Not in a crock pot, but I have in a roaster that has dividers...the warm water underneath keeps them fresh. Do you happen to have a roaster or can borrow one from somebody? Works real slick. |

This is how I do it when I'm cooking for a bunch of people...I make the mashed potatoes and cover them with saran wrap...push it down over the potatoes, not across the top of the bowl or pan...this way moisture won't collect on the lid or potatoes and ruin them..then I just keep them on a warming plate or in a low oven...crock pot would be the same, just turn it on the lowest setting so they won't burn. |
