Does any one still do the 3 day call thing? That is where the person waits 3 days after a date to call the other person

What are some others like this?

i'd have to have a date before i could wait 3 days.

Gosh, I sure wish someone had told me ANY of this stuff back when I was dating. Now I'm going to be trying to do it again. Back before, any hints would have been helpful.
Now, I don't expect I'd ever try to follow a dating "rule." Especially from what I read or hear others say, if someone DOES wait three long days after a date to contact them again, the person doing the "waiting" has STOPPED that, and moved on.
Maybe this kind of thing dates back to when you had to wait three days for the MAIL to go through? Before telephones were invented?
