I find it harder now. When I was younger I didn't fear rejection, embarassment, hell I didn't fear anything. Now, I overthink everything, weigh the pros/cons, I can think myself out of anything.

Good luck though. I do believe where there is a will there's a way.
but you are such a pretty woman...you should never deny yourself a chance to be happy because of fear...
think of everytime you been hurt in life.....and your still here breathing...were they painful?...yes.....did you live through it?......yes....use it instead of it using you...its all just the next step in your personal journey...neither good or bad just experience...learn and grow sweety... always give yourself that chance to be happy...or you will go through life wondering ........WHAT IFflowerforyou

That is very kind, thank you. I will move through it eventually. I'm working on who I am right now, what I want, what makes me happy. Once I figure that out, I will be ready to move on.flowerforyou

I think dating when you get older is harder only because you don't meet as many people in your normal day to day routine. School made for a lot of people to choose from. Plus, most of the people you know and meet are married.

It is much harder now than it was when I was younger. The pool to choose guys from is less than it was when I was younger and the quality isnt there any more. ( Guys and gals are more jaded after a divorce compared to before marriage, when they are full of hope and promise of a new and wonderful life with someone.) Too many caviats to compare, to see if the other person is going to be compatiable with me. I am still waiting for a wonderful guy to prove me wrong.

much easier older than younger

pros & cons

younger pros -- quantity
younger cons -- quality

reverse for older

the experience is much richer now, connection more real..

So I don't get on here much to post. I'm constantly at work and busy.

However I was browsing a few profiles and noticed how young these people are ( 20ish )

I just remember thinking "I remember being that young....I remember being carefree and not worring about turning 30"...

When I was 19, 20, 21 I was engaged to my highschool sweetheart and I was not in the "dating world" I had no clue what it might have been like to date in my 20's.

Now I'm 31...quickly coming up on 32. I'm wondering if its easier to date while in your 20's or is it easier now in my 30's?

Does the dating scene get easier as you get older or harder?

what do you guys think?

well think it's lot harder, wish women be more simple & low key more. I feel that women are bit to sassy about who they want to pick for some one. meaning why to picy, they want guy who's already have the total package & hate to say it. but dosn't work that why. Women need to lower them selves & actually take change even if their profile dosnt quit match up. just do it & enjoy the their time...

Why do women have to lower themselves? Why don't men have to lower themselves? Change has to come from a desire within. Why should women change if they are happy with their lives?

The last time I gave someone a chance, even though I didnt think he would be a good match, I found out later that he was an alcoholic. I do not have the time and patience anymore to deal with that kind of crap. Sorry if that offends because I have a standard of not setting myself up for abuse.

Of course we want a guy thats already a total package, because thats what us women are at my age. Grown, mature and secure in our knowledge of self. ( A total package ) And we want the same in our partner. I am to dang old to have to explane in detail to some guy that hasn't learned all this by now.

I hope what you were trying to say is compromise. There should be a certain level of compromise in any relationship, but that compromise should only be for minor things that arise, not major deal breakers in a relationship.
