As Fathers Day Approaches: Roses grow in Heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me ~ Place them in my Daddy's arms & tell him they're from me~Tell him that I love & miss him & when he turns to smile ~place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while ~ Because remembering him is easy ~I do it everyday ~ There's an ache within my heart that will never go away.
R.I.P. Grandpa ( My best friend and fishing partner) This is for anyone who has lost a father figure in their life.

This is beautiful and I miss my Dad every day. He died the day after Father's Day in 2002. Since Father's Day was the last time I saw him it is always bittersweet for me. Thanks so much for putting my feelings into words.

I lost my Dad eleven years ago to cancer, I miss him everyday, it hurts even more since I am more of a Daddys girl, however, the memories will never be forgotten, Thank you Sherrie this is a very good thread

I lost my grandpa a week before this last Christmas (2009) and i couldn't imagine how hard it is to lose a dad, He was a big part of my life and will never be forgotten.
