My son is 19. Right now he is on vacation with his dad, so I don't have him around.

Has anyone else (with older kids) wished to go back in time when they were little for more time?

I just see my son grown up and I miss the baby, toddler, little boy he used to be.

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of the young man he is.....I just miss the old days

For some reason this seems harder for me than I thought (to watch him grow up)

Anyone else go through this?

Oh boy, I sure can. My son is also 19, however he lives with his dad and has since the age of 7 when we divorced. It "tore" me up so bad that somedays I could not even work. However if your son is with you and he is maturing like you say he is, then pat yourself on the back, you have done a great job. And yes, I think that almost every day, I remember him as being little, but I get reminded by him, "I'm not a kid, Mom." I finally had to let it go, he's his own person and has his own life to find. I think that is the hardest thing for a mom to do. So yes, I relate, and so does every other mom that every lived. They all make it somehow, cause that's the way God makes them.
