What weapon do you think has been used the most in horror films? Knife, axe, chainsaw?

I was going to say egg plant, then I realized it was only used in Student Bodies.

I'm gonna have to say mutilation my means of tramatic blood loss due to the shear power used to dismember body parts.

Claws, teeth, ripping off appendages, etc...

In raw violence style horror guns hands down.

Horror has sub genres. You got spook flicks with ghosts and supernatural stuff, Serial killers who use knives or chainsaws, intellectual sci fi horrors like alien, it really is Genre Dependent.

Take Vampire movies for instance. If holy Water was all that why don't you see blessed super soakers dispensing holy water at range or vacuum cleaners to catch them when they gas out? How about super high powered Metal Halide Lighting?

In all of the Predator movies they have lots and lots of guns just like terminator!

As far as ALL Horror Genres though the one that encompasses all of them in a way that is a huge Cameo to all horror is House of 1000 Corpses by Rob Zombie. You must follow it with Devil's Rejects.

Winning combo. Nutcase Pissed off Satanic Carnies on a rampage in Texas!

Captain Spaulding! HELL YES! Fuqued up clowns too! Rob Zombie is a Genius of Horror!

Most frequently used weapons, House of 1000 Corpses: blunt instruments followed by knives

Devil's Rejects: guns followed by knives! Blunt instruments trailed in the second movie!

And remember, if a clown asks you for your car for official clown business you had better let him have it! A pissed off clown is a scary thing!

Bizarre News From Cannes: Romero Remaking Argento's 'Deep Red' in 3-D

Oh the surprises of Cannes -- and this one is a doozy. Get ready for Deep Red in 3D -- not by Dario Argento but from zombie icon George A. Romero. Word has it that Romero is in advanced negotiations to helm a completely unnecessary stereoscopic remake in English of Argento's cult classic. The 1975 masterpiece Deep Red, about a string of supernatural splatter murders, is considered Argento's gem giallo and the film that established his international standing. Claudio Argento, who is Dario's brother and regular producer, has penned the screenplay for Romero's redo. Plan is to start shooting this fall in Canada. Though Dario Argento and George Romero go back a long way -- he collaborated with Romero on zombie classic Dawn of the Dead, on which he has producer credit, and they also co-directed Two Evil Eyes in 1990 -- Dario Argento will not be involved in Romero's remake in any guise. This news makes me a little sick to my stomach, you?

Marcia, Bloody Marcia

Most people remember Return To Horror High as the movie George Clooney was killed in. But I'll always remember it as the movie where Maureen McCormick(Marcia Brady- The Brady Bunch)played the sexy cop who seemed to get turned on by blood and body parts.
