well, however he decides, in the end, I just hope that he will make better choices than what I made when I was his age. I could have retired in 1996, had I been a bit smarter...I've offered my suggestions, but in the end, it will be his choice to make Well, im sure you raised him right and whatever decision he makes will be the right one.

National Guard! They are not allowed to say! He was shipped to training in a min notice a couple of weeks ago. now back for two weeks then to Iraq !

That sucks you don't even know and I think thats BS with the Guard. I could see full time, not the Guard though.

Also if he's in Iraq it should be a non combat role unless he's Special Forces or a Teams guy. But I really hope he and the rest of the people in his unit all come back home safely.

I dont know you, but i am really glad that another soldier made it home safely. I am sad over the whole war, and although i would never serve in any of our services in a war, I really appreciate what your son sacrificed for the country, not just for our country but for the all the innocent citizens of Iraq that depend on him and his crew to help protect them. thank him for me and I am happy you can enjoy your time with him again. And Jayne....thank you! wolfchic, for additional support you can stay in touch with your local armory...(his unit)..they are a great source for peace of mind, for those "rough" moments. and will help get you through..they have many resources available
