Milesoftheusa,

Nevermind the fact that she thinks Bush is a bad president and she has
had many arguements with O'Reilly.

It's pathetic, she could tear either one of you apart in a debate, but
you trivialize her by making her a sex object or a clone of someone
else. Your position is that she couldn't possibly be intelligent or
entertaining (because she's a woman), so she must get by on her looks.
Her books only have one picture of her in them, it's on the cover. If
it was about her looks, people could just look at pictures of her
online. No wonder you guys are single, you can't accept the fact that a
woman might be smart and have her own opinions.

Well said spidercmb. I think you neatly sliced, diced, chopped and
pureed them. I have read one of the ladies' books and I liked it a lot.
It is interesting to note that the liberals never challenge her on the
points she makes because they can't she is right therefore they must
trivualize her to keep from conceeding that her points are valid.

Seems we have a double standard here, liberals are allowed to be sexist
but conservatives must be politically correct or suffer their wrath. If
a conservative made that comment about an attractive liberal author the
liberals would crusify him.

Ann Coulter will chew up and spit out any liberal I've seen in a debate
( If they'd only let her speak without the leftwing hoards shouting her
down and throwing pies in her face).
She's a right wing hottie too. Nothin' wrong with lookin' good boys.

BigGlenn, so you think she's a hottie? Looks like a man in drag to me,
or at the very best, a bleached-blond version of Olive Oyl. But, if that
floats yer boat, who am I to complain?

isn't she the one that said her only regret about Timothy McVeigh was
that he didn't hit the New York Times????

Never been a fan of hers, shes always come off to me as mean spirited
and hateful toward anyone who disagrees with her.

bl8ant,

She said something mean that she later regretted, that doesn't make her
stupid, it makes her human.

damnitscloudy,

That's actually the point. All conservatives are called hateful,
mean-spirited, homophobic, racist, liars, etc etc etc. She said "If they
are going to hate me either way, I'll give them a reason to hate me.".
I did the same thing here. From my first post, I was attacked and
called ignorant, so I stooped to their level and did the same thing.
But that's not my bag, so now I try my best to stay above the fray. If
you don't like her because she's "mean-spirited and hateful", how do you
feel about people who call the President stupid, evil and a puppet for
Cheney? Ann doesn't have a monoply on being "mean-spirited and
hateful", she just does it best.

Conservatives and Liberals are equally dumb in my book. One side owns
everything, and the other side just wants to smoke it. And everyone has
rights to their opinions of Bush, from the Dixie Chicks to Farmer Bob
out in the corn fields.

damnitscloudy,

Everyone has a right to have opinions about Bush, so doesn't Ann Coulter
have a right to have an opinion? Why does she have to be labeled as
"mean-spirited and hateful" for sharing her opinion?

damnitscloudy's photo
Wed 06/27/07 03:02 PM
Because thats my opinion of her opinions. She tries to make funny
comments out things that really aint funny, like say, wives of 9-11, or
the fag comment about John Edwards. I think she does it to keep her
self valid in the news, so people don't forget her.

damnitscloudy,

Have you read her quote about the 9/11 wives in context? Do you realize
she was talking about five women, not all 9/11 wives? She was using the
rhetorical technique "illustrating absurdity with absurdity"...

Her premise is this: These women are using their tragedy to get
airtime. So her questioning if their husbands wanted to divorce them
becomes valid, because the ONLY reason they are famous is because their
husbands died. It's a commentary on people using personal tragedy to
innoculate themselves from criticism. Cindy Sheehan is crazy. She
wasn't called crazy until she started threatening Democrats, then they
disassociated themselves with her. But until that time, she was given a
microphone everywhere she went, so she could say that the US wasn't
worth fighting for, her son was lied to, George Bush is a murderer and
the like. And nobody was allowed to respond, because her son died!
Well, she lost one son...what if a woman lost two sons in Iraq, should
she be able to take terrible accusations against anyone she doesn't like
without anyone rebutting? If someones only claim to fame and all of
their moral authority is based on a single tragedy in their life, then
that tragedy is fair game, just like their ideas and opinions are.

Oh, and I almost forgot this gem:

""I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote.
No, they all have to give up their vote, not just, you know, the lady
clapping and me. The problem with women voting -- and your Communists
will back me up on this -- is that, you know, women have no capacity to
understand how money is earned. They have a lot of ideas on how to spend
it. And when they take these polls, it's always more money on education,
more money on child care, more money on day care."

The lost of human life should never be put into a fair game category,
unless that person was truelly evil. But I think everyone should have a
chance to voice what they think, even if the majority is against them.
But when people start wishing others to "die in terrorist attacks" than
it becomes too personal and should be stopped.
