You know, I work out six days a week on the old Boflex. I can't complain it got me down from 305 to 225. Of course I was only working out three days a week when I lost weight, I added three more in September to see if I can't crack the 200 mark and get back down to 185. It hasn't helped yet.

Of course after reading the majority of this thread I feel like I don't exercise at all.

Sorry for being on topic, you guys can go back to movie quizzes now. Of course as it is the "work out" thread I can't believe no one has mentioned Vision Quest.

Roam, you should really try p90x. Its great cause ur not doing the same thing EVERYDAY! u do cardio, weights strenght yoga! In 2 months i lost 4 sizes. My boyfriend who was skinny before he met me. HAd gained alot of weight cause of my cooking. In 2 months he lost 30 pounds and is back in his old clothes! but do what ever makes u feel great about urself.

never heard of vision quest.

also us talking about movies does not deter us from what the topic is. Just support eachother in every way we can!flowerforyou

Oh, the truth is I like the routine of my 'flex. I've changed it up a few times to keep things varied, but have a few "core" exercises that I do always. I think adding the extra three days really helps too, if for no other reason than it's another three days I "exercise."

I've got an old "Nordictrak" that I bought at a garage sale, I use it as a "cool down" exercise on my "shoulders" day. I've got a knee that needs replaced so I can't really jog, but the "power walking" the cross-country skier provides doesn't bother it as much.

Don't know what a px90 is. Is that the thing the advertise that goes on a door? I'd be hosed there because I don't really have a doorway with any "room" to maneuver. I've tried some yoga, but it seemed to send me to the chiropractor with back issues so I stopped. I don't live close to any place with an instructor, so I don't know if I was really doing it right. I was just trying to copy a video I bought.

Vision Quest is an old '80's movie with Matthew Modine. It's about a high school kid, who is on the wrestling team, that is trying to lose weight so he can wrestle at a lower weight class against the state champ. I figured it was topical.

As long as you have good balance, it shouldn't be a problem. Hand and eye coordination helps if you want to play hockey or skate. Just make sure you learn how to stop and never try to ice skate uphill
