Awesome everyone!!!

I am so happy the semester started back up so I can do the water classes again, but have been proud of myself for staying active during the break & the dogs have surely enjoyed the extra outings as well!

I have recruited 2 of the first year grad students to workout at least 3/5 weekdays @ the rec center after work. I do yoga 1 day as well. Amanda & I also walk/run the dogs and/or ride the horses on weekends!

It's gonna be a great year! Good luck with your run bella & your fights okami

Have you all watched that new show on MTV called "I used to be Fat?" its an amazing thing to watch. No diet fads or pills, just straight hard workouts and eating right! What an inspiring show!

Actually that is how I lost 40 pounds. I did not diet at all. I just changed my way of preparing food, watched what I eat, and work out on a regular basis. My weight hasn't dropped any more but I am losing inches.

Too many time people try to take shortcuts to lose weight or inches but there is no short cuts just crappy ways of trying to cover it up,

I will tell you all HARD WORK & DEDICATION will not fail you in your weight loss and workout body goals

Exactly! And workingout u get alot of stress out. You feel better about urself.

Now I am planning on getting the lap band done on me next fall. I could have done it sooner i just did not wanna lose drastic weight and have all this loose skin. And i am not doing it for weight lose. I am doing it cause it is helping alot of severe diabetics! I have to take 5 insulin shots a day. And ppl that have got the lapband done r only needing 1-2 if any shots a day. I am looking forward to it!

Yeah I am so glad I finally convinced a doctor to run bloodwork and I am working hard to turn the IR around and prevent diabetes. I had a great workout @ water cardio tonight. The instructor for that class is the toughest, but my favorite because she's also the funnest.

I Run/Walk at the park and sometimes will hit the gym if I have the energy.

I do it because I feel good afterwords. Also, it's a form of clearing my mind and relaxing. The results on my body are a bonus. drool

It's not a routine, it's just random, but I do play soccer with the fam every Sunday as a hobby (and because it's freakin fun!).

The problem with the shortcuts is they don't work an can endanger your health.

I have a basset hound, when I lift weights at the house she will just lay there and watch me until she is so tired she falls asleep... which is after about 2 or 3 minutes...lol

What do you do for exercise, how often, how intense?

Do you do it for stress relief or to stay in shape (or both)?

What type of work-out do you like and how intense???

Love it/Hate it?

any other comments....
I have worked out regularly nearly all of my life starting at 9 yrs old
