For me it's not so hard raising my son. It's his mother that doesn't know how to be there for him at this point. I believe both parents should be in their childs life inspite how the parents feel about each other. By both parents being in a childs life it's helps with a childs develament, as long as both the parents are heathy to say too.

yep I am a single Mum
I have 6 munchkins from 11 to 21. All of them either live at home or are always here, thankfully.

My children are my life, they are my best friends, as well as being my children, we laugh, play and cry together.

I have enjoyed having them to myself,

However as we live in a motel they always have male figures in their lives, They have a regular group of truck drivers who have adopted them and take them around the country on school holidays, They pick them up from school, take them fishing and are just there when they need a man, they also have their grandad, who is always here if they need him, he does their school camps, and stands in for any other man things that they need. They are all secure in who they are and are all loving kids..

So all in all I am pretty lucky.

I have a 3 year old little girl that is my world. I traded my motorcycle in my divorce for sole custody. My ex is a real winner huh?! Kinda tough right now bc he is remarried and the new baby is due anyday. Kinda sittin in that he will never be there for my daughter. He walked out when she was 2 months old for 2 years.

I've been through tougher things in life then just trying to raise a child on my own. Thankfully I found helpful people who know what it's like and those words keep me going. I once thought that I found the right one to share our life with but it didn't work out. But, on the bright side, I went back for some training and I have more to go and the end result will be very worth it. If anyone else needs to chat or even just vent, feel free to leave me a message and I'll return it when I'm able to. Take care everyone.. :)

Parenthood is a very challenging yet wonderful experience. My children are one of the best reasons of my existence. It had been so tough for me when their father moved away from us because the reason is not a love lost between the two of us but his inadequacy to love our children the way a father should do. I had to more than double everything that I do for my children then. Everything works great that I don't ever quit on anything about raising them myself. You are so thoughtful to recognize us, thank you sweet manflowerforyou

I am a single mom of 3 kids who all have some kind of "disability". It is very difficult but I wouldnt change them or anything for the world. Raiseing kids alone is a full time job and is very trying at times but it is the greatest learning experience a person could have. They teach me things everyday and remind me how difficult is is to be a kid and they remind me of how fun it is to be a kid lol.

Single mother/parent of 3. My kids are really good. I think i am lucky some children are really bad seeds. My children are normal, well mannered and extremely good looking. Ok I am a proud parent as well. lol.

Seriously though, as a single parent, I am grateful that my children are well behaved 80 percent of the time, despite the minor complaints about bedtime and occasional sibling bickering....we spend a lot of time together watching movies, going on day trips, hiking, tennis, swimming, body surfing...I am such a lucky mom,

I would love to find another LOVE for myself, but if that never happens I am extremely grateful for my three wonderful children.

I would imagine being a single father is harder than being a single mother because you will lack that motherly instinct we have. But I commend you for your hard work and I am sure very difficult times. Good Job, Hang in there. You are creating memories they will have for a lifetime and I am sure your children will always remember that...

and that goes for all the single parents..

I am a single mom too! Im not going to say that it has been easy, but I feel that God trusted me enough to give me three beautiful children that he didn't trust anyone else with. What I have learned and the experiences I have had, I would not trade for anything! While I was teaching them, they were also teaching me kindness, patience and how to love bigger than I ever thought possible. I love my babies!!! Jason age 19, Kaylee age 14 and Briana age 4.
