...kind of like down the rabbit hole, or gurgler...noway

I just lost a few moments in that time thingo....one minute it was mid afternoon, as I peered cautiously down the google hole, the next I knew it was dark outside.

I can recite 57 893 461 different causes for the earth quakes, the mayans lack of calender, how the gregorians messed up the mayans time continuum, and now we don't know when the world will end...... how the supermoon did it, whilst the solar flares/storms are on a short hiatus, and Krakatoa's kid is having teething challenges..noway

and that was only the first three clicks!!!laugh..where upon my tailess free ranging mouse died atragic death, and I had to resort to pseudo finger painting on an inkless pad type thing instead!

I've learnt to make string bags out of water reeds on youtube, researched the way saba nuts are about to take world domination away from macadamias, and that bread soaked in warm milk and strapped to the affected area can fix systemic boils!....(and I only wanted to know how much rainfall we've had in the past 4 months!)

beware the link buttons, and the little distracty things on the sides of the pages....scared

you may just end up on your own facebook page 13 years ago!!!!surprised

Ever had that happen, where you get lost down the googler and end up somewhere you had never imagined????

laugh The scariest thing is it is all true!

I seriously only wanted to know how much rainfall australia had experienced in the last 4 months, and I got distracted...

since double posting this thread....yeah dang finger painting, tapping a dry inkpad thing on the lap top, makes for more merriment in the thread thingo...

anywhoo since the double post thing I wandered back into youtube, had a dude in a MahatmaGoat accent show me how to build a pizza oven using bits of weird stuff he had lying around in his yard...(I think he lives next to the tip)noway...all in under two hours...although I am a wee bit scared when it dries and he fires it up it will explode all over his backyard!!!

I also had some schmancy nancy show me how to cut up my old bath towels and make a bath mat....(personally I just fold em up and stand on them...no cutting required)...and some guy wax lyrical about ethanol fireplaces invented by australians, that he was most proud of...

...THEN I spotted this marble fireplace surround thingo square on the side, had a peek in there, and thought I like the maroon cushions on the bed....

someother lovely eco warrier lassie was showing me how to recover granmas lamp shade with quirky 70's fabric...and watch the glue gun...it's hot!

I wasn't sure if I was in a harriet housewife alternative Uni-verse for a minute...

so I thought I would check out the weird creatures....eeeeek!!!

are there really jellyfish bigger than a family sedan????scared

That happens to me a lot too. One time, I just woke up and opened my laptop with the sole intention of just checking my mails. One link led to another and next thing I know, it's time for bed again. laugh

So true!

I have just meandered all over the world, looking at people's front yards, backyards, their verge out the front, and what they are growing...

I watched some guerilla gardeners descend on a park, and turn it into a community garden...

watched a really cool guy create an amazing community garden in Peregian, QLD, Australia...(just down the road a few hours for me)...

and also did some research on peak oil, transitional towns...and how to power up an electric bicycle using a hairpin, a toothpick and some alfoil...(not quite, but you get my drift...) laugh

I am loving the places I keep wandering into..as long as the red queen doesn't want to start yelling about heads..shocked

Joy, there's a whole world in this thing!

I am attempting to navigate a rather superior laptop that is smirking in a condescending manner at me, with a disabled mouse that prefers to just kind of squat there....or that stoopid dry inkpad thing!

I am surprised I haven't ended up inside a mosque in my undies!noway

Isn't that what it is???

...and my fine motor skills are obviously a little rusty...this laptop has a bloody fingerprint scanny thing....how do the paranoid pollys cope with THAT kind of accessory???

my hands, elbows and eyelashes are staying right away from that little dooby-whacker thingo!!!noway

...and when did windows get to 7????....

I am such a luddite!

Pssst!!!! DON'T, whatever you do, go near the weekly earthquake monitoring site...scared <-----it makes you do that just looking at it...

I have NEVER mastered the fingerprint scanning thingy...

I often gaze upon the earthquake monitor and it's like alien talk to me... Besides scaring the beejezzuz out of me...

Windows went to 7 when my boss decided we weren't getting new laptops every 3 yrs... laugh

I forgot how giant the web is......

and how silly we are with some of the stuff we think is important!

I had a little mission for myself, and in less than a second I was skittering off looking at other things, completely unrelated to what I was intending to research...it's like the ADD kid met the mad professor, and now I know 638 422 007 irrelevant things I will never use in anything..laugh shocked

And how many I forget.. Almost every day at work I set out to research something or other... And then like it's "ohhhhhhhhhhhhh lookey there" and off I go clicking on something interesting... Finally 5 or so clicks/reads later I think "what the hell was I starting to research anyway?"... slaphead

laugh I have to keep pushing the sleepy doormouse back upright, and dodge the cheshire cat, I am so far down the googler!

AND whilst I was lost in lala land, a patch of red aztec corn peeked out of the soil, 3 of my chickens laid eggs, the zucchinis have sproinged out of the dirt, and some foreign strange thing sprouted under the poncianna tree...

And fended off over enthusiastic 7th day adventist ladies knocking on my door proclaiming it's jesus's anniversary!...they didn't appreciate my............... "sh* t !!! facecrack didn't notify me!!!"...oops

maybe it's catching!!!!!!!!!!!!surprised
