So today I am at the Costco store looking like a little ant while trying to unload from my shopping cart & manhandle into my car a 60lb shelving unit and this nice guy stopped his car in the middle of the parking lot and jumped out to help. Those of you who know Costco know that this is tantamount to risking life and limb in the service of a lady. It was so kind of him and I am happy to report that Chivalry is not dead. I've had other experiences like this in the past, and every time it makes me feel so much better about the human race. For those of you who help others in similar situations, I just want to send out a big "Thank You" flowerforyou and let you know it is appreciated. (I love that Liberty Mutual commercial too by the way)

At least you found one of the nice guys.... I asked a guy for help putting something into my car one night and the guy screamed over his shoulder at me "NO!!".....His girlfriend stopped dead in her tracks and screamed at him to get his butt over to the car and help me. He comes over and says "What are you going to do? Mug me?????"frustrated rant

(So I guess I'm not hawt)ohwell

Well I did my good deed last night... Was coming home from a BBQ on a dark country road this older man was broke down on the side of the road. Turned back around and went offered him a lift to the nearest store which I was driving right by anywhere..

The times I have done such things the only thanks I have told I wanted was to return the same kindness to another in need...

A dark country road? Wasn't that kinda risky?

Good suggestion. I actually try to whenever I can, hence the moniker. And yet, it is so surprising and nice to have it come back around.

Here is my strange good deed:

I can see stuff from my kitchen window and one day as I was cooking I see that this guy in a black car is trying to make a u-turn in the middle of the street. He backs off in someones drive way and just as he pulls forward another car (a woman) drives by and stops because the guy is blocking the street.

Somehow the guy gets into a power struggle with the woman and continues to block her. She honks and gets frustrated but the guy won't move. Now the middle aged woman is freaking out while the guy just sits there getting off on her frustration.

I went downstairs and tried to calm her down. I told her that I saw everything and that the guy is being a complete a**h**e. I didn't want to talk to the guy because I felt all this poor woman needed was a little bit of support. She was too worked up to call the cops so she gave me her phone to call them and I did. Of course the guy split that moment.
