Going to show my age here, seeing to many tee shirts. Why do people think this is proper attire for school, dates, concerts, touring the country. Please tell me, when they are proper attire & when are they tacky.

T-shirts and jeans are my daily wear but I would not wear them to the opera or any formal occasion ie.wedding.

More details please, church, shopping, dinner party w/friends.
How do they make you feel, very casual, etc.
I would like some serious answers.

when I wear a t-shirt and jeans out ,I feel less vulnerable, comfortable esp on a date.Dressing up makes me feel stiff and like I have to act a certain way.I don't go to church but I don't think god much cares what you have on.

Well in my Opiion I thinkTee shirts are very comfortable and should be worn in many places such as Mowing the yard, working on several different things too. Plus depending on the Tee shirt I think they can be worn to several places as most people wear them to work and toplaces like wuick food places too.

Agree with all so far.
Do you think you can dress for success with T's.
What about Polo's/Golf shirts?

I am retired and for casual wear I always dress in a t-shirt and jeans. For formal wear I have a clean t-shirt and jeans.

I do that at work to scotty aren't they annoying...
I dress in whats comfortable but yet i only wear my own clothes on weekends so its pretty easy to get dressed. As long as you look presentable and dont look like a scrub then why should it matter?

well i just wouldnt think people would be dumb enough to wear shorts in the house of the Lord (but then again) but if you're going on a date, you want to look and smell nice. depending on our age, some nice khaki's and a nice button down short sleeve shirt is appropriate (for the conservative) but here in L.A. it really doenst matter. jeans and a t-shirt on guys is great. now for the women, thats a whole other story. whatever fits tight and snug to enhance our nice rack!

well i can understand that i mean there hs to be a limit here you are not exepted into the church without a dress. so that is not an option.

I think the question should be shirt or no shirt bigsmile
Up until recently all I wore were T-shirts, shorts or sweats (mostly). Obviously a formal occassion requires formal attire.
Going to the mall, the park, the zoo.... IMO t-shirt is acceptable. For work it depends on the dress code.

T-shirts are great because they can make a statement about who you are, what you like, who you are with. Such as the classic

I wear t-shirts to my classes..
I think I should be more focused on getting all I can from the class, than spending forever preparing my school attire...
A lot of people disagree, but I'd rather wear my nice clothes on the weekend or something.
