I used to wear tee shirts a lot but now I prefer my scrub tops and running pants. One of our residents has a good sewing machine in her room just about all the aides have had scrub tops made by her. Her husband says I look good in them but that might be cause he wants me to buy more scrub tops from her. She can make cheaper than I can buy them in the stores and she makes them tailor made. When ever I rip a pocket from a wheelchair or a door knob she alters them. Since Medicaid has been cutting back on helping nursing homes it has helped her and her husband when we take a group of residents to Walmart's.

viva when you go to the house of the Lord, he is glad to see you there no matter what you are wearing.

Once when I was on vacation and had no suit with me, I was contacted by a company and asked to come to their corporate office for a job interview. The corporate office was less than 200 miles from where I was and my suits were 1000 miles in the opposite direction. I showed up for the interview in cowboy boots, western pants (not blue jeans) and a shirt with a button down collar, no tie. The VP that interviewed me commented on my dress. I told him he would be better off to be more concerned with what was in my head than what was covering my butt. A week after I got back from vacation they called me and offered me the job.

Well gardenforge he must have admired your moxy.
as for carebear ,I am 44 and wear T-shirts.I'm not sure why it would project an"image".Fashion to me doesn't mean diddly.you could dress to the nines and still be a low class pig.

hmmm...depends on the t-shirt. if it's a well-made and fairly decent one, i'll wear it almost anywhere. not to a wedding, or a formal event...

if it's scraggly, faded, or coming apart...that's generally for sleeping or hard labor.

i've worn shorts to church before...if the choice is between not going at all, or going in shorts...that's how i'll go. of course, i'm catholic...and it's not that formal at the life-teen mass.

T-shirts should NOT be worn:

In the shower

In space

During a swordfight

When meeting any cast member of "Full House" for the first time (second time and up, T-shirt is OK)

Otherwise, T-shirts should always be worn. Or bikinis, if you're a girl.

When I'm not running around half naked like in my picture here, I normally have a white undershirt with some sort of plaid over shirt. I love the feel of it, and for some reason it makes me feel like I stand out for the better.

If I'm just going to the pool or something than I'll wear a T shirt, its not like its going to stay on for long =D

I wear plain, cheap, solid color t-shirts for everything, unless I work someplace thats 'business casual', in which case I wear t-shirts with collars and some kind of mysterious little symbol on the chest.

Sometimes being comfortable helps me to make a better impression than being nicely dressed. I've gotten jobs when interviewing in a t-shirt (though not acceptable on the job itself), and I always go to court (usually win) in a t-shirt.

most of my shirts are tee shirts, in the winter add a thermal under them.

I wear a tshirt and jeans almost exclusively when I'm out doing things. Why would anyone wear anything else? lol. I have nice clothes for the appropriate occasion and wear a uniform for work. But other than that I'm usually out playing and comfortable doing it.

Church weddings baptisms funerals anything proper attire or portment expected is a faux pas in my opinion to wear a tshirt also certain dates dependent upon where you are going fine dining never wear a tshirt the theatre never wear a tshirt ballet etc......
