While I won't wear a t-shirt to work, and I wont wear it to school if I'm teaching, I will wear it to school as a student (Hey, if my fellow students can come to class in the same hoodie and pajama pants every say, I can wear my free "Don't be a scardy cat, give blood" of "Bad grammar makes me [sic]" t-shirt once in a while).

I don't dress up for church, but I usualy wear the same types of blouses I wear to work, rather then my printed t-shirts.

As far as dates go, it depends entirely on where the date is. A movie theater? Rock that t-shirt! Live Theater? Depends on the level of the theater. Volunteer theater usually isn't a dress-up event, but a show with actors who are making a living out of acting should be.

Going to show my age here, seeing to many tee shirts. Why do people think this is proper attire for school, dates, concerts, touring the country. Please tell me, when they are proper attire & when are they tacky.

I think it's a matter on the person.

I'm a long haird guy and it's rear that you will see me in dress cloths. Not that I don't have them. Just I perfer to ware T-shirts.

As to when It would be Tacky? Going to weddings, Some places you go to dine out, certain plays etc. As far as the concerts I go too, they're welcomed.

Wow. Either I've been out of the dating scene a long time or times have changed. A woman talking about having a nice rack..... if I had a drink in my hand I'd raise it high! LOL

I mostly wear T-Shirts, the nicer the place I am going is how I choose which shirt to wear. If I am going to a nice place I would not wear a shirt with something questionable on it (even though I like to start trouble sometimes...lol). If I need to dress up I do have button up the front shirts but those places are usually too stuffy for me so I just do not go there...lol

There are only about three four occasions in ones life that are too formal for a t-shirt. Now I assume you mean by t-shirt, the short sleeved cotton shirt with a logo of some: place, event, restaurant, concert, sports team, or clever saying. These can be worn on almost all non-work situations without any thought. Those without logos can even be worn to church, events at a theater, lodge meetings, informal parties and, in warm weather, even on a date or two. However, the four occasions that I know of that it is never acceptable follow:

Weddings - you have to look your best, even if you aren't the one getting married. Those bride's maids aren't going to go for a guy in a t-shirt.

Funerals - Well, unless you know the guy would expect you to show up for his funeral in a t-shirt (I would expect that, better yet I'd expect you to show up dressed in one and bringing some beer), you should always show respect and wear a tie and jacket. I mean, there is probably some grieving single person there that will need consoling, she won't want some guy in a t-shirt.

Graduations - Hey, this occasion isn't about you. You need to look your best for the person that invited you. Besides, there is probably some single mom that might be looking over the crowd, she isn't going to want some dude sporting a t-shirt.

The random occasion - I'm not exactly sure what this instance is, but you'll know it when it arrives. Odds are, there will be some single ladies there, and they'll be looking for something a little nicer than a t-shirt.

I have a very select few T-shirts.

Danger: Giant Penis

I'm Rick James B!tch!

May I suggest the Sausage?

One with a cool pic of a chick with a ball gag and a girl behind her grabbing her boobs.

And...my "Don't Be A Pu$$y!" T-shirt.

I only wear them to parties or jury selection.

Other than that, I dress to the nines.

I LOVE that so many people wear t-shirts and jeans. It makes me look that much better when I am dressed in a nice dress shirt, tie, slacks and hi tops.

I wear t-shirts to sleep in..that's it, or sick in bed. Never wear a t-shirt out of the house, ever. There sooo unflattering for women expecially ~ covers all the curves (maybe that's the point) but I'm not hiding mine.
I hate jeans too, never wear them..skirts, slacks..never jeans.
