Dating to me? Starting over...trying to new things. Basically having fun and see where things lead to. Dating to me, means present. I am there, you're there, let's do this. Let's try it, whatever "it" is. I've been on dates where guys would not stop talking about their exes. One dude actually showed me a few pictures of her that he kept on his personal computer on the first date! Ahhh, that's what I live for. Dolts who can't get their heads outta the past.

Dating to me is a purposeful effort to get to know enough about someone on a personal level to consider them for friendship or courting. It is NOT suppose to be a major heavy thing just casual fun or shareing mutual interests, even light chores occasionally but not this deep intrusion into their intimate life or personal facts. Sateing is not making some promise of a future relationship. Dateing is NOT exclusive. Just becasue I accept a date or offer a date to someone does not imply or obligate or enslave either beyond the date. That said I do not generally date my friends and I keep my social outings with friends as a clearly equal investment. That is why some of the people who I have dated are now still friends.

A date to me is when two people agree to go somewhere on a specific day and specific time. Any two people? sure Interesting. I don't think I'd call getting together with my friends dates, though.

What is your definition of dating? When you date, you simply are not at the stage of being in a committed relationship. Dating is the act of meeting people, trying to find one with whom you connect with on all levels. You have to decide what those levels are. Maybe they are emotional, spiritual, personality, attractiveness, career aspirations. Whatever they are, you have the desire to meet one person who embodies what you are looking for. Perfectly said!!!

Yes I can see where you are going with that singme. I view things a bit different. See... I had a lunch date with my oldest girlfriend from high school. To me it's still a date. Not a romantic encounter or anything.

If someone told me "let's go on a date," I'd assume it was because they were interested in being more than friends. Not that they just wanted to hang out as friends. So, to keep it simpler, I stick with the more than friends version of dating.
