I have been single longer then married and I really hate dating at this age, 50+. I've heard stories of women that are willing to have sex on a first date, and I've been expected to have sex on a first date, and I can't help but wonder is this expected because at this age we're afraid we're never going to get laid again? or are we just wanting another notch on the bed post?? Or is that the new normal, sex on a first date, therefore there's no need of a second date.

Sounds good to me!! But please practice safe sex!Wrap that rascal! LOL, Now I don't know if it's the way things are now but maybe it's like the college girl that didn't have time to date so she just had sex when she wanted it,like a friend with benefits. If you're looking for a LTR make it clear when you go out on that first but if you just want sex go for it,what ever makes you happy.I went out with a lady that smoked and told her I was looking for a non smoker but would have her as a friend and she was ok with that and on the second date we had sex and it was great,we're still friends but not having sex, she's dating someone else.So do what you want until the right person comes along.Have fun!

Times have changed. In many cases the women are as aggressive as the men. Do whatever you want and what feels right for you.

I remember the old "three date rule". It doesn't seem to apply any more.

When you say "having sex", I take it you mean having intercourse....When and why a couple makes that decision is highly personal and unique to each situation or relationship....I agree with Joe, go with your feelings, make every effort to have "safe" sex, and enjoy the freedom of being a responsible adult ...

What's right for you is the right thing to do. Dont be pressured, only if and when you want.

The three date rule was mostly just talk among high school and college age men. It had different versions.

1. If you didn't get any sex by the third date, move on.

2. The first date was for a good night kiss or light "making out".
The second date was for heavy petting.
The third date was for hitting a home run.

3. First base, second base, third base ... you get the idea.

I never used it myself. I either ended it after the first date if there wasn't any chemistry or tended to have longer relationships.

Well, it sounds like you're not the type that wishes to have sex on the first date. There are men out there with the same mind set. Not everyone is looking for sex on the first date, or even ever. Do things your way and at your pace, you'll find someone that suits you.

Well, if the chemistry is there.....Had it happen, was not planned. As far as putting it off for a later date in order to be more respectable well, at my age next week or the week after I may not be able to get it up anymore so don't fight it, get it while you still can. Will respect you for it later. Thank you.

The number of dates for me does not really matter, What matters is that she desires me and and feels no pressure to sleep with me.

love Maybe at this age women may consider themselves lucky to find a man that craves them and is still very and pleasantly active. I say forget the old rule and do what your sex drive tells you to do. Yes go for it  , that's my philosophy and ability to reason.

frustrated there is no reason to turn down an opportunity to enjoy the opposite sex, experience them, please them and guarrantee they will be back. At our ages we savor our god given right for mutual pleasure. Don't waste the opportunity to be all you can be for one another and it may bloom into something you really want and need (I do).

We are all made with basic instincts. At my age and ability I would not miss a chancerofl wHAT ABOUT YOU.
