Scanned the new here topics and wondering if everyone is NOT looking for a fun time but a friend and partner.

I have had a few contacts since I joined this morning all from US finding me interesting using bad grammar or irrelevant comments (looks like canned responses).

Any suggestions on finding real non scamming people? oh not to forget a number of aussie 20 yr olds.....both my kids are older than them!!

Can we filter who can see your profile?

Yeah, read your profile and you can filter for distance if you don't want anyone outside of your area contacting you. Reporting all your unwanted messages is going to give the mods a lot of work to do.

I'm not sure if there are that many Australians that post on the forums here. They are mostly Americans. The standard advice they give about finding genuine people is to go on the forums and get to know people that way and there are genuine people here but you are only looking for local people you say. Just don't email offsite if you're worried about scammers and never send anyone money. The scammers are fairly easy to spot but don't get too paranoid about it.

TawtStrat I relented and have only reported about half the posts...scammers. Oh do i need a mirror to read your nick?
