Aha, yet more proof that mutual matching is site automated.

Where?

The bit where she said, "Oh, I also received a messages from Mingle stating the deceased man wanted to meet me???"

Ah, yes...A random one-offer comes into the forum and tells us that one of the members who is dead wanted to meet her.

Without hesitation it is true, no one knows who this person she is talking about is, much less how she knows for a fact they are dead; or for that matter, if they even are dead to begin with...Hell, we don't even know who she is because this is her only post.

Come on, man...O.J. got off Scott free in a case that had more evidence than that.

Ghad you and being always logical. ..I love it! love swoon

The people that run this site are happy enough to mislead about active members when you do a search, so why wouldn't they use other little tricks?

Granted, all we have is anecdotal evidence but it's mounting up. During the course of my investigation I have personally met and interviewed a lady who supposedly matched with me and she denies that she did that. I am not satisfied with that though and I intend to take the matter further and find out if she really is interested in me. I will judge her on her actions and not just on her words.

huh
there is no
membership fee
on this site
it always has been free

Guess you never saw the button "upgrade"?

Scammers, double or even triple profiles are not unique to this site....every social networking site or a dating site has them...it's a fact...

Well then I guess you will need to explain the fee they charged me on my credit card when I signed up!! I got the premier membership. If there is no such thing why is it listed in the "Settings" section???????

I'm not sure why you would sign up for premier account and give them your credit card . ...this site offers everything you need as far as being able to communicate with other members for FREE...which is more that I can say for other dating websites.

Good grief Charlie Brown. How is the site misleading you? Do you really think a human hand picks mutual matches for every person on the site??? There are 2 ways for a mutual match. 1. the system selects a match based on interests, etc that members put on their profile or 2. a member can click to match someone through the profile slaphead

How so? I am merely trying to find out if a girl that I've been seeing is genuinely interested in me. What's creepy about that? It must be because I'm a man I guess and that automatically makes me the one that just wants sex.

For one you are being presumptuous by saying that I consider men only want sex....so please don't put words in my mouth...what I don't get is how you said you have to 'investigate further' . You just mentioned you met her in person...and she didn't 'match' with you on purpose... and then you continued to say you will ignore her words and pay attention to her actions...I totally don't get...I really don't...does she want to see you again? Did she say she is NOT interested in seeing you again?

Who cares if someone clicked or it was automated 'match'?? What matters is the exchange of words you personally had with the woman...

Am I really? Well, now that you mention it, I guess that I do think that a site that sends messages to people that say that someone else wants to meet them when they don't, or didn't click anything to say that they do, is trying to dupe people. Possibly it could be viewed as a way to get members talking to each other and we all know that other sites send automated messages for that purpose when they aren't just trying to con people but it is misleading and I certainly didn't know when I signed up here that the site might be telling all and sundry that I want to meet them without my knowledge.

Yes, she said that she wants to see me again and also that she thinks that we will always be friends, whatever happens. It's early days and I am just seeing how it goes and trying to get to know her. What I meant about judging her on her actions is simply that statement. We don't email and she isn't that into talking on the phone. I don't hear from her for weeks on end. Can you see why I would be a bit unsure about her? You don't know the half of it but suffice it to say that talk is cheap and time will tell if her intentions are genuine or not and at this stage I just can't tell.
