Good grief Charlie Brown. How is the site misleading you? Do you really think a human hand picks mutual matches for every person on the site??? There are 2 ways for a mutual match. 1. the system selects a match based on interests, etc that members put on their profile or 2. a member can click to match someone through the profile slaphead

That's your answer...

Yes, I can read. Matching can be done manually by Mingle members or it can just be automated by the site. What's your point?

Whoever I've been talking too, real or not..its been fun. Theres just no point at all taking this online dating seriously unless I handed over money, then its an issue. And that I will never do

I can't help it. That is some funny ****. I'm sure you probably just typed too fast and reversed the letters but still...

...Although he was griping about some sort of mad conspiracy by the mods here so it just makes your goof that much funnier! I just can't stop laughing!! Thanks Edy_ca...I needed that, intentional or not. And sorry TAWT to laugh at your expense. Maybe I'm going to hell but I'm gonna laugh the whole damn way there!

Do you know Edy? She does NOT strike me as immature or mean spirited AT ALL! I am 100% certain this was a case of typing too fast.

And my bad for laughing so hard...I apologize again. It just cracked me up BECAUSE of the fact that it was purely unintentional! What are the chances that you could reverse a couple of letters in a name and end up with that. Even TAWT has to see a LITTLE humor in it. Ms Edy I'm sure was NOT being mean!

It wasn't intentional at all...when I looked at his name that's what my brain saw....and yuh...if I wanted to start name calling it would have been something way more creative than that laugh

Well I was off on my reasoning in that your fingers were moving too fast but not in my declaration that it was unintentional. My son has dyslexia so I can sympathize and completely understand the mistake. I really shouldn't have laughed so hard but seriously, like what are the chances?!? Don't know ya too well but seen ya on here lots and read your posts. You are one of the nicest gals on here. Sorry for throwing ya under the bus, so to speak. flowerforyou

Maybe I can clear up some confusion.

The ONLY way to get a 'Mutual Match', is for BOTH
you and the other person to click on 'Yes' or
'Maybe' on the page that has the pictures of
you and the other person. Or, as Kim pointed out,
you select them from their profile, at which point
they ALSO must concur by clicking 'Yes' or 'Maybe'
when that profile is presented as a potential Match.

When I say 'Mutual Match' that is a conclusive
term, meaning the 'Mutual Match' has been made
between the 2 of you.
No one else is involved.

Automation ONLY enters the picture when you are
PRESENTED with the spectrum of possible Matches
that have been culled from your listed preferences,
or theirs.

NEVER is the 'Mutual Match' concluded by the system.

What might have happened with the dead guy
(assuming that is so) is that before he died, he
had clicked on 'Yes' or 'Maybe' on the member's
picture, but until she did the same no actual
'Mutual Match' was made. Timing is solely based
on when both have concurred.

One might have done so a year or three behind the other.

Semantics here may be the issue.
A done-deal Mutual Match is ONLY made when both agree.
A potential Mutual Match is generated by the system.

When one gets notified that 'Someone wants to meet
you on Mutual Match', it merely means someone has
clicked 'Yes' or 'Maybe' to your picture, and not
knowing who that is (Premium Membership exempted),
you are invited to sort through the Mutual Match
POTENTIALS to see if you feel the same.

Neither did he probably! I shoulda been a proof reader...I pick up on grammar and spelling mistakes in everything I read and usually I don't say a damn thing. I don't know why I decided to open my big mouth, but that ship has sailed already. I laughed, still can't stop actually, but at least I know I'm alive. Which should bring us back to the topic at hand...

All I could picture when I first read this topic was the scene from that Bruce Willis movie...."I see dead people!" laugh

It clearly is if it's sending people messages telling them that other people want to meet them when those people may not have clicked anything saying that.

Ah Tawt. Please see Soufie's explanation just a few posts back. The site IS NOT doing what you think it is. And don't blame Ms Edy for my bad. She ACCIDENTALLY posted a typo with your name that I overreacted to with lots of smarmy smileys. I'm sorry for bringing it to light, and for laughing so hard. I sorely needed to laugh though, and sometimes these posts do that for me. I humbly apologize to you personally.

This site is cool, the people are cool, the forums are fun, and heck, ya might meet the right one here so bonus that. Don't jump to conclusions...read Soufie's response please. flowerforyou

So that Everyone can get a bunch of laughs out of them
Not everyone will take the time to read the whole threads
But they would sure roll laughing at the best of the highlights

Shoot one day I went just to see who was online. I found a picture of a black girl in her bra and panties. I reported another one whose username was something about "licking a part of a woman's body". Both are still up. So are a lot of duplicate pictures of the same guys in different cities and countries under different names. Their pictures are on the romance scammers websites. I'm very sorry I paid for membership. It's been a real disappointment. But I will ride out what I have left and then leave.

What! scared
