Would have to know why you need to keep your distance before answering. Different reasons have different answers.

Pretty much what BettyB said. There's too much ambiguity in your statement. Sometimes being apart is better for everyone depending on the situation. I suspect you are able to judge that better yourself.

What a terrible waste of life not to be able to be with/talk to someone you love. Ive been there myself and all it comes down to is to try harder or valuate if it ever gonna work i guess. I find it stimulating talking to others. It gives me some other one to focus on and after time it gets easier.

Or you go with Malpattas advice and drink away all your sorrows ^^

Well if that is what they want and you love them. I have been in that situation and I live by the following......

"If you love some one set them free. If they come back to you they are yours. If they don't, they never was to begin with."

Good rule to live by. If you dwell on the thought of that person, or try to convince them when they might just need space to sort things out, you only cause more heartache for yourself. So remember the above statement, and keep busy. Also keep some Kleenex close because you will have some sad moments. But hey, that's how we grow and mature in this game called life.

I wish you the best in finding that special some one.

I think "shipshewana1" said it it very well. We learn from experience. With out it, he wrote it well. Follow his advice, cause it is true. Time heals and dwelling doesn't. I to have the same problem. It is very hard, so like he said, "try and keep busy doing whatever that you do". Lots of kleenex ! For some, it takes longer. Hang in there and be sweet, cause there is someone for you. Best of times in your journey...truely.

I also believe it is good to live with this rule to set them free, with one small exception. When and if they return, you may find that the relationship is not what you wanted. In other words, the time you spent separated has given you a chance to clarify your thoughts and your perspective of things. I have had a similar thing happen to me, not just once, but many times. In the end, it was I who decided I could completely release them and remember the relationship for the good it offered and I wished them the very best, but I could no longer continue the relationship. I found a great peace in knowing that not every relationship which comes into our lives is meant to be there forever. Some relationships serve to teach us things about ourselves which we might not have realized had they not entered our lives. JMHO Best of luck to you! flowerforyou

I just want to thank you for your very kind extra support and kind words. I have no one I can talk to and it felt good to see someone acnowledged my piece. My heart has been broken for 6 months now and it is so slow getting a little better. I wish you the best of luck and my prayers are for you in this time of need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...Michael:smile:
