I am grateful to our Mingle family. Prayers from all over are felt and surely it helps the Filipino people gather strength to rise and start again.

My immediate family are well away from the places where typhoon hit us strongest but it is indeed heartbreaking for anyone who sees it happen. The aftermath is almost inconceivable yet by His grace and glory, everything will be alright soon.

Once again, thank you everyone for everything - prayers, support of all kinds, your well wishes and your friendship

Oh! My God, It's been long. I've not heard from my mingle friend 'Gline.' I hope she's fine.

I received her message few minutes ago, she's safe but she lost her grand mother. Please comfort her. Her username is 'Gline'

The message was left in the games thread by Toks this morning, so this particular incident, about the grandmother, was only discovered today.

True! She and her elder sister has moved from their place (Tacloban city) to Manila due to the condition of their place.
I cried when I red the message she sent to me few hours ago. Thanks to you all for your prayers. Remain blessed.

Tears of Joy Tears of Pain

One of our dear neighbors has had a extended family of 9 come in with five, two missing, and two medivac-ed to hospitals with crush injuries but they are not sure where.

Two missing are now presumed dead through third party reports.

Two medivac-ed are still hospitalized but appears no amputations pending but serious disability predicted. Family is now scrambling to provide air fare and arrange hardship visa's.

Those who have frequent flyer miles or durable medical equipment languishing in storage are encouraged to donate it to lending closets where it can be rehabilitated and or used for parts.

"Friends of the Disabled" and other non-profits are doing a heroic job getting needed equipment where it needs to be to help families that are struggling under the burden of caring for extended family.

While this monsterous disaster will fade from the news with whatever is current I hope all the people so richly blessed this holiday season will remember recover will take months , even years. Never forgetting this tiny country has been an ally to many in good times and hard. Please keep them in generous prayers and efforts.
