The older I get the more I'm discovering that I'm a man who loves the city life. I love vacations away from it, but it's mainly work that drags me down. I often can't wait to get back the busy city and the buzz. Anyone with me on that?

I'm not. City can be okay for a bit, but a few days is usually enough for me to want to get out asap! Too much hustle and bustle, hate city traffic, the noise, too many ppl etc.
5, 6 days in London drove me up the wall. Spent 2, 3 days of my stay in Camden, which was a total relief. Away from the madness, just weirdos, gothics and so on.
I'd go mental if I had to live in a city.

I stayed in Camden, for nearly a year Crystal and I loved it there! Doesn't mean that I preferred London, to back home in Scotland, though? Back here, i've got my friends, family and I know my area, inside and out. I miss some aspects of London, also though, but i'd rather be home where I am.

Oh well, I've seen it. Most important thing to me was visiting the Tower. If I'd ever go back to London, I'd want to go there again :)
Done the Eye, Buckingham Palace (total shock to see they had to stop traffic for the whole parade, lol), loved the tube, found out Nelson column is totally silly as the guy is so high up it could've been Charlie Chaplin and no one would notice, hahaha. Way too many pigeons (I HATE pigeons or any bird that can fly over me head), was very much like De Dam in Amsterdam. After all that excitement I got kinda fed up with it. In retrospect regret I didn't go to this Greenwich thing and The Globe, but can't win 'em all.

Each to his own. I think it is great that we have choices in life. Personally, I prefer the peace and quiet of country life. A short visit to the city is enough for me.

I make the effort to get back to Manchester, there's always something happening, away from the corporate crap it's in the bars, the universities, the museums, the music venues, the art houses... And you stumble across these things without looking for them. Love it x
