How many people here would date someone who is in the military??

I'm just curious because one of my close friends is in the army (military police) and he wants to date me.

Just wondering if anyone else would?

Well, for sure they can fold laundry! A lot of the men in my family have been in the military in various capacities. You can never tell over-all. I guess, the fact that he's in the military is big, but it shouldn't be the deciding factor, I think. Good luck!

If you'd like a partner that's a little brave and a little less smart, that's a great start. You might be better off finding a guy that is not willing to kill people for fringe benefits. (Ask a soldier if he'd fight in Iraq if he wasn't getting any pay, just food and shelter. You wouldn't find two hundred out of the thousands that would. Any real war, and guys will turn out in droves to fight to protect their home country without pay!) But if you'd like a nice guy that will kill strangers for fringe benefits, .. that's the way to go.

gee, thats totally wrong, when they enlist, who knows where they end up. and they are a damn sight smarter then most with the money they get for collage. beats the hell out of working in a factory for 30 years in a dead end job

I served 13 years in the Brtish army amd dating was a little difficult. I was never in one place for longer than two years.
Constantly on the move and on standby for active sevice anywhere in the world doesn't suit a lot of people.

Dating the uniform?

Or the man in it?

Dating as in no committment, initially, dinner, movies, coffee, etc....?

Date the man.....not the uniform.
