What is Kansas known for?

I live in the province Zeeland, Netherlands. Think it's mostly known for its waterworks (built after the flood of '53) and its beaches. It's tourist area, cos of the beaches, so with the season starting tomorrow, we're headed for another German invasion. The war may be over, but we're still stuck with 'em, lol. Need 'em though, for the economy of the province.

Kansas is the sunflower state I think. Or Basketball state since that's where Dr. James Naismith was from.

Texas is the country's biggest producer of oil, cattle, sheep, minerals, cotton and wool.

Texas possesses three of the top ten most populous cities in the United States – Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

Texas is second in size only to Alaska.

More land is farmed in Texas than in any other state.

The first word spoken from the moon on July 20, 1969 was "Houston".

For starters.... bigsmile

Austin Texas is known as the "Live Music Capital of the World".

Texas is also known for its Bluebonnets, the State Flower.

Other things include: Chili, Tex-Mex food, BBQ, Longhorn cattle, Alamo (San Antonio), Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, wide open spaces, Latino music and ladies, and Texas is still an open haven for job seekers.
