Michael bay, transformers, bad boys. Yh persona is very good. But mulholland drive by david lynch is the one for me.

It's all subjective. I love some big budget Hollywood films, I love some super low budget indie flicks, I love some non-American films. They all offer something different.

 Like Torgo says, it's all subjective...Some of the best movies I watched were ones that I stumbled across when I was channel surfing...Happened just last week when I found a movie called "The Impossible" , directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and written by Sergio G. S�nchez...IT WAS AWESOME...Based on the true story of Mar�a Bel�n (played by Naomi Watts  ) and her family's horrific experience when they were caught in the "04 Indian Ocean tsunami....I think Watts was nominated for best actress...Anyhoooo, if you like reality based disaster films that come packed with positive messages, you will love this movie...

some of my favorite are independents, and some of the Scottish/English
horror movies are a close second... big Hollywood, not so much... |

Mostly US movies and the occasional European one. The odd Dutch movie, but hardly ever. Dunno what they teach in Dutch drama schools, but it ain't acting,
 I can't be, as the acting is always so crappy, totally unbelievable. We used to have good actors/ actresses, the ones that also did theatre. We got one quite good Dutch actress who's in GoT, the red witch, but I'm not totally impressed with her acting, she's done a lot better in (other) movies. |

compare "Downfall" with "Valkyrie". One tries to understand Hitler, the other protrays him and his staff as ridiculously cartoonish charaquatures of people because audiences should dislike Hitler. Tell the truth and we would, lie lie and lie and we just dislike you. Understanding sociopathy isn't to be feared, it's to be celebrated. commercial-Hollywood doesn't get that, it just wants economic-aristrocratic backing for big budget productions and that means leaning into the small minds of nepotistic power brokers that own production corporations and want to influence the public mind towards their own agendas. That's commercial-Hollywood, a bunch of idiots selling bullcrap and dressing it all up with a massive budget. Independents, arthouse and Euro productions will always provide more Art than salesmen with political agendas and producers bending over tables for them, to seek financial gain and celebrity status. |

As long as the movie has me in stitches, I don't mind. I also like erotic thriller movies. I can't stand Hollywood. I get nauseus just seeing a pic of Brad and Angelina in a newspaper. I think Hollywood is very fake and not that impressive. That's why I'm glad Britain doesn't have anything like it.

A bunch of americana and that's it. All I get in my head is americans going "Oh my gawd, blah blah blah", or just as annoying "Ewwwwwww", or "What is she wearing?". I can't stand it. I'd rather elecrocute myself ;) lol |
