What is it? Who is yours? To me, a hero is someone who sacrifices themselves without thought for themselves, strictly for the benefit of others. I always hesitate to label people in dangerous careers as heroes, since they are compensated for those actions and accept those risks in a contract for pay. My first heroes are my parents, because they sacrificed and struggled so much to try to give us a decent life and education during very antagonistic social times, especially my dad, who loved my brothers as his own.

For me, first and foremost is my father, he was a good provider, and faithful to my mother. I owed him all the things that I needed to learn in life, even cooking. We shared common interests. Second is one of our national heroes named after St. Andrew who was raised in Manila. And lastly, the good samaritan, that would be anyone/anybody who has done a good deed to both humans and animals without expecting anything in return.

heroes? anyone who does the right thing even if it is unpopular, dangerous, or not for any sort of personal gain. who gives of themselves with no expectation of something in return.

To me a Hero is someone who does/has done something spacial, achieved something great.. There are a lot of different Heros for different reasons, like firefighters, sports people, dancers, scientists,... etc... a plain man can be a 'Hero' in their own rights.

I have several. my mom is my biggest hero for raising me while my dad worked and wasnt home. my dad for providing. Doc Holiday, for his loyalty. J.R.R Tolkien for his amazing books
