Best date ever: We both decide to leave pretentious party, kick off our shoes (my pumps were killing me), walk on the beach hand in hand talking until sunrise (covering ecology, silent movies, the meaning of life, knock-knock jokes, art history, football, you name it). A respectable short kiss at the end and thirty minutes later a 3 hour phone call. |

I like nice, simple first dates. It's a big turnoff when a guy thinks I will be impressed if he spends lots of money on me!!! yes sometimes a turnoff. What's necessary on a first date is getting to know each other, doesn't matter where. |

Typically the only idea I get on a first date is whether or not we're compatible enough for a second date.
Sorry am reading the question the way it was posed, not transformed to idea for first date. |

First date. Something fun and easygoing. Best first date was going hiking. In Big Sur. We met through mutual friends. He asked if I like to hike. I said flatter trails are better. He chose big sur because it's a scenic drive to get there. We enjoyed the drive. Went hiking on the trails. Late dinner and a moonlight walk along the beach.
He didn't even care that I fell asleep on the ride home. |
