'breeding' superhumans is the topic

the question presumes such a thing is possible

Super human, as in super strong, smart, etc., possible.

Monsansto is breeding a different type of super human.

One that shows no remorse. Can violate without processing the consequences.

And, the super unmotivated, irresponsible, perpetual victim breeder.

or, non existent

what you speak of, people with little concern for others (most of them do care about sOMEBODY, but just hold double standards about what is ok to do to whom and why)

has existed throughout humanity, and not tied in any direct way to 'gmo'

but like most values and shortage of values, can be much more directly tied to how someone has been raised and what their CULTURE has valued,,,

-be given the freedom to breed superhumans? Every once in a while a genius is born, they happen by chance and are rare. But what if we deliberately set out to create an entire race of them? Humanity has its limitations, but superhumans would be able to do things that we can't and therefore speed up discoveries and new inventions etc.

They shouldn't need to breed them. I believe the theory with nanotech is that we can just make normal people superhuman.

I am not sure nanotech would work. Anyways most if not all of famous historical/scientific persons who have made world changing events/discoveries have had severe to moderate mental problems. Like talking to ghosts or trying to murder people and going into violent psychotic rages. If you deviate from the bell curve (average) you tend to mess stuff up. The best "superhuman" would probably not be a human but an engineered life form. Currently we are limited by biological factors. If you start investigating human mental limitations it's pretty humbling/sad. People actually don't work well so we are stuck in a slow rut that often repeats. It also definitly helps to explain the human condition. superhuman =/= human

Right here!

yup, my children are living proof! Super soldiers. All 95% growth factor as infants into adolescents into adulthood.

6'3" son is predicted, still only 14 yrs old. Shaving at 13.

Daughter has the bones of an Amazon.

Vaccines.

I counted those 19 shots I recieved in ARMY basic training. Gov'nt property. Husband had the SAME.

Wait a minute? Where's the OPIE? laugh Bait thread.
