Folks, Ventura didn't sue a widow. He sued her husband before he died.
If Ventura was falsely accused of wrongdoing, then he had every right to use the legal system to clear his name.

True, but he would have shown class if he had dropped the suit when the man died. He didn't.

BTW, his real name is James George Janos.

Ventura's reputation was wrongfully tarnished.
The only way that he could right the wrong was for his lawsuit to continue after the defendant died.

You mean like when he tarnished it when he was running for Governor and falsely claimed he was a former Navy Seal and rode those coat tails until people learned the truth then he said he misspoke. F-him

that seems like quite the overreaction over semantics

having someone close who was a UDT, I can tell you, they were the precursor to seals, and train with seals, and are considered by other seals to be a seal as well,,,

No they weren't. At the time Ventura was UDT they had several Seal Teams. In no way shape or form was he a SEAL, and he had to come out and admit that during his campaign.

they are considered Seals by Seals that they train with. You don't have to consider them one, but there are Seals who do.

"I can't go to a SEAL reunion anymore," Ventura said. "That was the one place that I always felt safe. I can't go there anymore. I would be looking over my shoulder now wondering who's going to come after me next. And so, don't think I come out of this unscathed."

Based on this, I'd hafta take Harmonys word on the matter. IMO, Kyle put a fellow soldiers life in danger based on his unverifiable claims. Very poor judgement indeed.

Edit*
I find the best story is written by someone else in honour of the main subject. Like Mad Jack... Check this badazz out lol

In all fairness, liberal slant is in the title.

Says in the article, the suit was started before Kyles death. While he was still alive.

He didn't go after a widow. It just ended that way.

The right thing to do would be to drop the suit after his death.

why would he that would not stop the lie

the right thing to do would have been for the widow to pull the book

and have publisher withdraw the comments in question

then the right thing to do would be drop the suit

but not before

His Lawyers might be in it for a percentage of the Loot, and in that case there wouldn't be much of a chance of abandoning the Suit!

Wonder if he engaged the Lawfirm of Dewey,Shaftem&Howe?
