Saw this article this morning and it just rubs me the wrong way. Being married to a non citizen and doing legal immigration ourselves 1.5 years ago makes it kind of personal. What is everyone else's feelings on the subject? I think this is going to be a big issue over the next 2 years.

Its hard to say. My 'husband' and I went through all the legal channels for his immigration to the states after we had a child together, but they still denied him.

I understand the concern for separating families, but we in this country complain so much about helping 'our own' , I don't understand how to justify the financial task of taking on everyone else who has come here and made children

what makes the difference, I believe is MONEY. He was told he would most likely be given entry if he had a sponsor (someone with money) to take legal FINANCIAL Responsibility for him.

Immigrants don't all have the same circumstances though we lump them together so often. Some did not enter illegally but allowed their entry papers to expire, for instance.

So IM torn. I do see how people that were already checked out and APPROVED to come in, should have a chance at least to maybe pay a fine for allowing it to expire but still apply to remain.

People who were adults when entering and never went through legal channels though, I feel should be held to the rules already there and be deported. Unless some refugee status can be determined.

we seem to hear the same old line... we where immigrants once ...
I believe this is a little different ... oh and we must a bid by the laws Bush put into place when he was in ... and trying to blame this President good luck with that ... while there is no boarder patrol stopping them ... oh their women and children and more children we have to save them ... they might be killed ... well kids die in the USA every day by a gun ... whats freakin new ... we can't even vote on some kind of law to save our own children in the USA ... just shakes head ... this is all political motivated ... as what to run on... along with a few other things they will be running on ... but they say miracles do exist ... and we sure need a few ...
